Few badges say "we took this seriously" quite like the three-pointed star. When you book a Mercedes car on rent through RutzIndia.com, you get the car and a professional chauffeur as one service: no self-drive, no security deposit, no guessing about fuel. Tell us whether you need the understated E-Class, the stately S-Class, the roomy GLS or a Maybach for the moment that matters, and we confirm a car within the age rule, a named driver and a written fare.

The Mercedes line-up we arrange, model by model
E-Class: the workhorse of Indian boardrooms
The long-wheelbase E-Class sold in India is built for the back seat, which is why it has become the default executive car from Nariman Point to Cyber City. It is our luxury sedan class, priced the same as an Audi A6 or BMW 5 Series. Best for one or two passengers with two suitcases, airport runs, day-long meetings and wedding family cars.
S-Class: when the passenger is the point
The S-Class is our flagship sedan class. The rear cabin is quieter than most hotel rooms, and it is the car we recommend for a groom, a visiting head of company or anyone who needs to step out looking unhurried. Because fewer S-Class cars circulate in chauffeur fleets, book at least three weeks ahead in the wedding months.
GLS: the seven-seat SUV with presence
Our luxury SUV class includes the GLS alongside the Audi Q7 and Range Rover. It suits families with luggage, farmhouse and resort venues with rough driveways, and hill trips where a sedan would scrape. We seat up to five guests for comfort.
Maybach: the ultra-luxury tier
A Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is sourced and priced case by case in our ultra-luxury class, together with Rolls-Royce and Bentley. For this tier the age rule relaxes to seven model years, because these cars are driven sparingly and maintained to a very high standard. Tell us the event, city and hours and we quote within a working day. If you are weighing a Maybach against a Phantom, our Rolls-Royce on rent page explains how the two compare for weddings.
Request a Mercedes with chauffeur
Mercedes on rent in Delhi
Delhi and Gurgaon generate most of our Mercedes requests. Common patterns are an E-Class for a two-day delegation between Aerocity hotels and Connaught Place offices, an S-Class for a Chhatarpur farmhouse wedding, and GLS convoys for sangeet nights. Evening traffic on the Ring Road and NH-48 between 6 and 9 pm can double journey times, so we plan buffers for mehendi and reception timings. Our chauffeurs know the forecourt rules at IGI's terminals and the security routines at Lutyens' Delhi addresses, where drivers may be asked to wait off-site. Visiting guests who want to see Humayun's Tomb or Qutub Minar between events can plan with Delhi Tourism. See luxury car rental in Delhi for local venue notes and taxi service in Delhi for budget cars for the rest of the family.

Mercedes on rent in Mumbai
Mumbai is dense, so the car must be too: the E-Class threads through Lower Parel lanes and fits hotel porches that make an SUV awkward. Weddings at Juhu and Worli hotels, film and advertising shoots in Film City and Madh Island, and BKC client meetings keep Mumbai busy year-round, with a peak in December. During the June to September monsoon we avoid known flooding points like Hindmata and Milan subway when routing, and chauffeurs carry large umbrellas for kerbside drop-offs. The airport operator publishes terminal and pick-up guidance on the Mumbai airport site. For local venue advice read luxury car rental in Mumbai, and for everyday transfers see taxi service in Mumbai.
Other cities for a chauffeur-driven Mercedes
Our Mercedes requests also come regularly from Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Goa, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Udaipur. An E-Class 8-hour day costs Rs 39,360 Pay Now to Reserve in Bangalore, Rs 37,500 Pay Now to Reserve in Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune, Rs 41,250 Pay Now to Reserve in Goa and Rs 35,640 Pay Now to Reserve in Jaipur and Chandigarh. For Kolkata, Ahmedabad or Kochi, check taxi service Kolkata, taxi service Ahmedabad or taxi service Kochi and ask for a Mercedes in the notes; we will confirm whether a car within the age rule is available locally.

Occasions: matching the Mercedes to the moment
- Wedding car for the couple: S-Class or Maybach, ribbons and fresh flowers fixed by your decorator with paint-safe tape. See our wedding car rental guide for convoy planning.
- Family cars for the wedding week: two or three E-Class sedans on 8-hour days keep elders moving between the hotel, mandap and reception.
- Business travel: E-Class for airport-to-office runs, with GST invoices raised in the company's name. Regular users can open an account with our corporate car rental team.
- Product launches and awards nights: a line of black S-Class sedans at the red carpet creates the arrival shot photographers want.
- Film and advertising shoots: a Mercedes as picture car, with our chauffeur at the wheel for any moving shot; no rigs are fitted to the bodywork.
- NRI homecomings: a GLS for grandparents and luggage for the whole stay; see NRI car hire.
What an 8-hour Mercedes day actually looks like
A typical wedding-day E-Class booking in Delhi runs like this. The chauffeur reports 15 minutes early at your hotel in Aerocity, having already checked tyres, fuel and the cabin; the car is cooled before you step in. He carries the event schedule you shared, the venue pin and the names of two family contacts. Between the morning puja and the afternoon lunch he waits at the venue's driver bay rather than circling, so the car is ready when you walk out. If the reception stretches past the eighth hour, you simply keep the car: the extra time is added at the pro-rata rate on your quote and settled with the balance, with no need to renegotiate on the spot.
A corporate S-Class day in Mumbai is different in rhythm. Pickups are precise to the minute, the chauffeur keeps the rear blinds and climate to the passenger's preference, and he never discusses where he has driven you. He will not take calls on speaker, will not play music unless asked, and keeps a pen, a notepad and spare charging cables in the glovebox. Those small habits are what corporate travel desks tell us they value most.
Planning around seasons and festivals
Demand for a chauffeur-driven Mercedes spikes in three windows: the North Indian wedding season from mid-November to February, the Diwali week when families host and visit, and the December holiday period in Goa and Mumbai. Book those dates four to six weeks out. The quieter months, roughly April to June in the plains, are the easiest time to secure an S-Class or Maybach at short notice. During the monsoon, we favour the GLS for venues with long unpaved approaches, and in Delhi's smog weeks of November the cabin air filtration of a newer car becomes a genuine comfort for elderly passengers.
Driving a Mercedes out of town
For a Mercedes outstation, the fare is the per-kilometre rate multiplied by distance. Round trips bill the greater of actual kilometres or 250 km per calendar day, plus a driver night allowance of Rs 1,500 for each night away. A few worked examples:
- Delhi to Chandigarh, about 245 km one way in an E-Class: 245 x Rs 170 = Rs 40,430 Pay Now to Reserve.
- Mumbai to Pune one way in an S-Class for a board meeting: Rs 58,080 Pay Now to Reserve, because at 150 km the minimum fare applies.
- Delhi to Jaipur and back over two days in a GLS: 560 km billed at Rs 230 = Rs 1,26,000 Pay Now to Reserve, plus one night of driver allowance.
Tolls on expressways such as the Mumbai-Pune Expressway are collected by FASTag and billed at actual cost; the national FASTag operator explains how the system works.
Rules that keep a Mercedes booking predictable
- Age: every E-Class, GLS and S-Class is within four model years; Maybach within seven.
- Airport waiting: flight tracking and a name board are standard, with 60 minutes free after international arrivals and 30 minutes after domestic ones, then billing at the hourly rate.
- Payment: deposit by card or UPI through the booker, balance after the trip with receipts for tolls and parking.
- Cancellation: free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10% retained within 72 hours; 50% within 48 hours; 100% within 24 hours or for a no-show. Read the full cancellation policy.
- Conduct: no smoking inside the car, and decorations must be fixed without drilling, magnets or adhesive that marks paint.
If a Mercedes is more car than the day needs, the Innova Crysta with driver or a Fortuner on rent will carry more people for far less, and we can mix classes within one booking.
Full Mercedes-Benz tariff with overtime rates
The price list above answers "how much for a day". This one answers "how much if the day runs long", which is the question that causes most arguments at the end of a wedding night. Delhi base rates, before 5% GST:
| Mercedes model | 8 hr / 80 km | Extra km | Extra hour | Airport run (up to 40 km) | Model-year rule |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| E-Class (long wheelbase) | Rs 37,500 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 170 | Rs 4,690 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 20,640 Pay Now to Reserve | within 4 years |
| GLS | Rs 57,000 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 230 | Rs 7,130 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 31,350 Pay Now to Reserve | within 4 years |
| S-Class | Rs 96,000 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 330 | Rs 12,000 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 52,800 Pay Now to Reserve | within 4 years |
| Mercedes-Maybach S-Class | on request | on request | on request | on request | within 7 years |
The extra-hour figure is always one-eighth of the 8-hour package in the city where the car is booked, and the extra-kilometre figure is the model's outstation rate. So in Mumbai, where the S-Class day is Rs 1,05,600 Pay Now to Reserve, each extra hour is Rs 13,200.
A Mumbai example. An S-Class booked for an awards night runs 9 hours and 95 km. The bill is Rs 1,05,600 Pay Now to Reserve for the package, Rs 13,200 Pay Now to Reserve for the ninth hour and Rs 4,950 Pay Now to Reserve for 15 extra kilometres, a total of Rs 1,23,750. GST at 5% adds Rs 6,190 (rounded), and the hotel or venue parking receipt is attached at cost. Nothing else is added.
What your Mercedes chauffeur will do, and what he will not
We brief every chauffeur on the booking before he leaves: who is travelling, what the occasion is, the addresses, and any instructions you gave. Beyond that, these are fixed expectations.
He will:
- Arrive at least 15 minutes early, in formal clothes, with the car cooled or warmed to a sensible temperature.
- Open and close the rear door for passengers, help with luggage, and hold an umbrella at the kerb in rain.
- Know the car: the rear seat controls, sunblinds, climate zones and the boot's soft-close, so you are never waiting for him to find a button.
- Drive smoothly, keep to speed limits, and choose the calmer route over the marginally faster one when you have elderly or unwell passengers.
- Keep his phone on for your calls and messages while waiting, and return to the porch promptly.
He will not:
- Smoke, chew tobacco or eat in the car, or play music you have not asked for.
- Take personal calls on speaker, discuss your itinerary with anyone, or photograph passengers.
- Let anyone else drive the car, carry extra passengers, or run personal errands during your booking.
- Drive if he is unfit through fatigue; on long days we plan a relief driver in advance rather than push through.
If any of this slips, tell the desk the same day. We would rather fix it during your event than hear about it afterwards.
Model year versus registration year: how our age rule works
Mercedes-Benz updates its cars with facelifts every few years, and the model year printed on documents does not always match the month a car was registered. Our rule is simple: an E-Class, GLS or S-Class must be within four model years of the current model, and a Maybach within seven. The longer allowance for Maybach reflects how these cars are used, for short, infrequent occasions, and how thoroughly they are maintained.
Why hold the line at four years for the core range? Newer cars carry current driver-assistance and safety equipment, meet the latest emission norms, and have interiors that still feel new after years of commercial use. For you, that means a quieter cabin, working rear entertainment and seats that have not sagged.
To check the car yourself, use the registration number we send the evening before and look it up on the government's Parivahan service or the mParivahan app, which shows the registration date and vehicle class. If a car arrives that does not match the confirmation, the chauffeur should not start the job; call the desk and we will substitute or refund that car.
A Delhi wedding weekend in Mercedes cars: costed plan
Here is how a family could structure a three-event Delhi weekend, using only Mercedes-Benz, with every rupee derived from the rate card. Fares are before GST, tolls and parking.
| Event | Cars | Package | Fare |
|---|---|---|---|
| Friday sangeet, Chhatarpur | 2 x E-Class for grandparents and hosts | 4 hr / 40 km each | Rs 45,000 |
| Saturday wedding, Mehrauli farmhouse | 1 x S-Class for the groom, 3 x E-Class for family | 8 hr / 80 km each | Rs 2,08,500 |
| Saturday overtime | S-Class, 2 extra hours; E-Class, 1 extra hour each | extra hours | Rs 38,070 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Sunday reception, Aerocity hotel | 1 x GLS for the couple | 4 hr / 40 km | Rs 34,200 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Monday airport drop, IGI | 2 x E-Class for out-of-town relatives | airport transfer | Rs 41,280 Pay Now to Reserve |
That weekend comes to Rs 3,67,050 Pay Now to Reserve before GST, or about Rs 3,85,400 with 5% GST. The overtime line alone shows why it pays to estimate generously: a wedding that starts late almost never finishes early. Booking the Sunday GLS for 4 hours rather than 8 saves Rs 22,800 Pay Now to Reserve on its own.
Decorating a rented Mercedes the right way
Floral decoration is part of the Indian wedding car tradition, and done badly it can damage a car or break the law. A few rules we ask decorators to follow:
- Keep the number plates fully visible. Covering them with flowers or ribbons is not allowed on public roads, and traffic police do stop decorated cars.
- Keep the windscreen and side mirrors clear. The chauffeur must see the road; heart-shaped garlands across the glass are fine only for a static photograph.
- No wire, magnets or tape that marks paint. Use automotive-safe tape, suction mounts rated for car paint, or ribbons tied around the mirror stems.
- Fresh flowers wilt in the heat. For a midday baraat in April or May, marigold strings or artificial arrangements last longer than roses.
- Remove everything before the car leaves the city. Decorations are not safe at highway speeds.
Our wedding car rental page covers convoy order and baraat timing, and for a vintage alternative there is our vintage car for wedding service.
Mercedes fares in other Indian cities
For cities beyond the Delhi and Mumbai sections, these are E-Class and S-Class day rates before GST:
| City | E-Class, 8 hr / 80 km | S-Class, 8 hr / 80 km | Everyday cabs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Noida | Rs 36,360 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 93,120 Pay Now to Reserve | Noida taxi service |
| Lucknow | Rs 34,500 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 88,320 Pay Now to Reserve | Lucknow taxi service |
| Amritsar | Rs 34,500 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 88,320 Pay Now to Reserve | Amritsar taxi service |
| Udaipur | Rs 37,500 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 96,000 Pay Now to Reserve | Udaipur taxi service |
| Jaipur | Rs 35,640 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 91,200 Pay Now to Reserve | Jaipur taxi service |
| Bangalore | Rs 39,360 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 1,00,800 Pay Now to Reserve | Bangalore taxi service |
In Lucknow and Amritsar, S-Class cars are sourced case by case, so book early for wedding dates. Amritsar weddings often include a Golden Temple visit on the morning after, for which a 4-hour package is usually enough; the chauffeur waits at the designated parking area while you are inside.
Booking tips from our desk
- Lock the date first, the model second. In peak weeks an E-Class, 5 Series or A6 all cost the same; flexibility gets you a car.
- Give us the full day's timeline. Pickup times for every event let us estimate overtime honestly at the quote stage.
- Name one family contact. The chauffeur should take instructions from one person, not six.
- Share venue access details. Farmhouses and hotels sometimes restrict car entry after a certain hour; knowing in advance avoids a walk in wedding clothes.
- Keep receipts simple. We attach toll and parking slips to the invoice, so you do not need to hand cash to the chauffeur.

Mercedes airport pickups in Delhi and Mumbai, terminal by terminal
Both of India's busiest airports split traffic across terminals, and knowing which one you land at saves a confused phone call. Always share your flight number; the chauffeur confirms the terminal on the day, because airlines do occasionally shift operations.
- Delhi IGI, Terminal 3: most international flights and many domestic ones. Your chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall with a name board, then walks you to the pickup point on the forecourt. Aerocity hotels are minutes away; central Delhi typically takes 40 to 60 minutes outside the evening peak.
- Delhi IGI, domestic terminals: many domestic flights use Terminal 1, and Terminal 2 when it is in operation. The walk to the pickup lane is shorter, and the 30-minute free waiting window for domestic arrivals applies.
- Mumbai CSMIA, Terminal 2: all international and most full-service domestic flights. The drive to South Mumbai via the Bandra-Worli Sea Link is typically 45 to 75 minutes depending on the hour; BKC is closer.
- Mumbai CSMIA, Terminal 1: domestic operations for some airlines, on the Santacruz side. Tell us your airline so we route the car to the right terminal.
Waiting starts from actual landing, not scheduled time: an hour free after an international arrival, half an hour after a domestic one, then the model's hourly rate. The E-Class airport run is Rs 20,640 Pay Now to Reserve in Delhi and Rs 22,710 Pay Now to Reserve in Mumbai before GST and parking.
Using a Mercedes on a film or advertising shoot
Production houses in Mumbai and Delhi hire Mercedes cars as picture cars and as talent transport. To keep the day smooth:
- Tell us at booking if the car will appear on camera, and whether branding must be hidden; we arrange badge and plate masking with the owner's consent.
- Share the call sheet with locations and the unit's contact; long days usually book 8 hours with overtime at one-eighth of the package per hour.
- Moving shots are driven only by our chauffeur. Camera cars, tracking vehicles and any shoot permits for public roads are your production's responsibility.
- No rigs, suction mounts or lights are fixed to the bodywork unless the owner has approved the specific equipment in writing.
- Smoke machines, water effects and food props inside the cabin need advance approval, because cleaning and drying time may take the car out of service the next day.
