Car rental for wedding functions is really a small logistics operation disguised as a floral arrangement. The groom needs a car that makes an entrance at the baraat, the bride needs one that is spotless when she steps out in a heavy lehenga, the doli car has to be ready the moment the vidaai rituals end, and forty guests need to move between hotel, venue and airport without anyone waiting on a kerb. RutzIndia.com plans all of it as one booking, with one coordinator and one fixed quote.
Car rental for wedding: 2026 package prices
A decorated wedding car from RutzIndia.com starts at Rs 22,500 Pay Now to Reserve for a 3-hour slot in a Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series or Audi A6, Rs 27,190 Pay Now to Reserve for 5 hours and Rs 37,500 Pay Now to Reserve for a full 8-hour day. Guest cars start at Rs 6,480 Pay Now to Reserve. Rolls-Royce and vintage cars are quoted on request. Fares are before 5% GST.
The three packages are built directly from our standard fares, so there is nothing hidden in a "wedding premium". A 3-hour slot is billed on the 4 hr/40 km package, which is the smallest unit we sell. The 5-hour package is the 4 hr/40 km fare plus one extra hour charged at one-eighth of the full-day fare, with a 50 km allowance. The 8-hour package is the standard 8 hr/80 km day. All figures below are for base cities such as Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune; Mumbai and Goa are about 10% higher, Jaipur and Ahmedabad about 5% lower.
| Car class | 3 hr slot (4 hr/40 km) | 5 hr / 50 km | 8 hr / 80 km | Decoration (florist's cost) |

Prices are before 5% GST. Flower decoration is quoted separately at the florist's actual cost because it depends entirely on the theme. Parking at the venue, tolls and any state entry permit are charged at the amount paid. If the celebrations run past midnight on an outstation booking, the chauffeur's night allowance of Rs 1,500 applies.

Every car a wedding day needs, in the order you will need them
Most families under-book by one car and over-book by another. Walking through the day in sequence avoids both.
The groom's car and the baraat entry
The groom usually leaves home or the hotel in the car, meets the baraat a few hundred metres from the venue, and either rides the final stretch on a ghodi or arrives in the car itself while the band plays. If there is no ghodi, the car becomes the centrepiece, and that is where an open vintage tourer, a Rolls-Royce or a white 7 Series earns its fee. The car needs to crawl at walking pace behind a dancing baraat for twenty to forty minutes, so we brief the chauffeur on clutch and temperature management and keep the air conditioning running for the sehra-wearing groom. Our baraat and doli vintage car page covers the open-top option in detail.
The bride's arrival car
The bride's car has one job: arrive pristine. That means a car with a wide rear door, a flat floor and enough headroom for a dupatta and jewellery. The Vellfire and the S-Class are excellent here; a low coupe is not. The chauffeur carries an umbrella, keeps the cabin cool before she boards and parks with the rear door aligned to the carpet or the canopy, not to the kerb.
Parents, grandparents and the chief guests
These cars are often forgotten until the morning. Elderly relatives do best in an SUV or MPV they can step into without bending. A Toyota Fortuner at Rs 22,500 Pay Now to Reserve for the day, or an Innova Crysta at Rs 12,600 Pay Now to Reserve, is usually enough, and it keeps the photograph cars free for photographs.
The doli or vidaai car
After the pheras and the vidaai, the bride leaves in the doli car with the groom. In many North Indian families this is the most emotional moment of the wedding, and it often happens at two or three in the morning. The doli car must be decorated, cooled and waiting at the exit with its chauffeur awake. We treat the vidaai as a separate timed pickup even if it is the same car, so the chauffeur has a rest break in between and a clear reporting time.
The guest fleet
For a wedding with a hundred outstation guests, the guest fleet is the real workhorse: airport pickups, hotel to venue loops, and the late-night return after the sangeet. Innovas, Tempo Travellers and, for large groups, mini buses and coaches do this better than any number of sedans. See Tempo Traveller on rent and bus on rent for seat counts. Guest airport runs include flight tracking and a name board, with 60 minutes' free waiting after international flights and 30 minutes after domestic ones.
Guest-fleet bundles for 50, 100 and 200 guests
The decorated cars get the photographs, but the guest fleet decides whether the day runs on time. These are the combinations we suggest most often for a single 8-hour function day in a base city such as Delhi, Hyderabad or Pune. They assume guests are staying at one or two hotels within about 10 km of the venue; add cars if hotels are scattered.
| Wedding size | Suggested guest fleet | Seats | 8 hr / 80 km total |
|---|---|---|---|
| About 50 outstation guests | 3 Innova Crysta + 1 Tempo Traveller (17 seat) | 35 at a time | Rs 57,300 Pay Now to Reserve |
| About 100 guests | 4 Innova Crysta + 3 Tempo Travellers (17 seat) | 75 at a time | Rs 1,08,900 Pay Now to Reserve |
| About 200 guests | 4 Innova Crysta + 2 Tempo Travellers + 2 mini buses + 1 luxury coach | about 170 at a time | Rs 2,45,400 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Family VIP set | 1 Toyota Vellfire + 2 Toyota Fortuner | 17 | Rs 99,000 Pay Now to Reserve |
The seat counts are per trip; because shuttles loop between hotel and venue, each vehicle usually makes two or three runs before the ceremony, so the fleet moves more guests than its seats suggest. Totals are before 5% GST, parking and tolls. For larger buses see mini bus on rent and Volvo bus on rent; for a more comfortable middle option than the Tempo Traveller, the Force Urbania seats up to 17 with more headroom. The VIP set pairs well with the Vellfire for grandparents and Fortuners for the siblings and the pandit.

The wedding day, hour by hour, from the car's point of view
A typical North Indian evening wedding, planned backwards from a 9 pm muhurat, looks like this for the transport team:
| Time | Cars involved | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 12:00 pm | Guest Innovas | Airport and railway pickups for late-arriving relatives |
| 3:00 pm | Tempo Travellers | Hotel to venue loop for the decorators' and family helpers' luggage |
| 5:00 pm | Bridal car | Florist fits flowers at the groom's hotel; car washed and cooled |
| 6:15 pm | Bridal car | Portrait session with the groom and photographer |
| 7:00 pm | All guest vehicles | First shuttle wave from hotels to the baraat start point |
| 7:30 pm | Bridal car | Baraat moves; car follows the band or waits for the final stretch |
| 8:15 pm | Bride's car | Bride arrives at the venue entrance |
| 11:30 pm | Guest vehicles | Return wave for elderly guests after dinner |
| 2:30 am | Doli car | Vidaai; couple leaves for the groom's home |
A South Indian morning muhurtham shifts everything earlier: decoration the evening before, a 4 am reporting time for the bridal car, and guest shuttles running from dawn. Give the desk your own function times and we will draft the same plan for your day.
Fresh-flower decoration themes that photograph well
Decoration is where a hired car becomes your car for the day. Our florists work with fresh flowers only, fix them with soft suction mounts and ribbon rather than tape on the paint, and finish about an hour before the car is needed. Popular themes across India:
- Classic red rose and rajnigandha. A heart or a cascade on the bonnet, strings along the roofline, the couple's initials in white tuberose. Timeless on a white or black sedan.
- Marigold and mogra. Genda strings with jasmine accents for haldi-toned and South Indian ceremonies; very striking on a silver or champagne car.
- Pastel orchids and baby's breath. Soft pinks and whites on an ivory car for a day wedding or a garden venue.
- Minimal white lilies. A single bonnet spray and matching door posies, chosen for Rolls-Royce and vintage cars where the bodywork is the ornament.
- Floral canopy for open cars. On a vintage tourer, a light frame of flowers over the rear seat turns a short ride into the photograph everyone keeps.
Tell us the colour of the lehenga and sherwani when you book. A good florist will steer the palette so that the car frames the couple rather than competing with them.

Timing the photo shoot around the muhurat
Photographers rarely get enough time with the car, because the car is usually busy. Build the shoot into the booking instead of hoping for a gap:
- Ask for the car 45 to 60 minutes before the baraat moves. That gives the photographer a clean 20-minute session with the groom and the decorated car before the crowd arrives.
- If the ceremony is in the evening, plan the couple's portraits in the last hour before sunset for warm light; a 5-hour package usually covers portrait, baraat and dinner-break photographs.
- For a morning wedding, which is common in South India, the car should be decorated the evening before and kept covered overnight, with a fresh touch-up at dawn.
- The vidaai departure is best photographed from the front of the car with the doors open; tell the chauffeur where the photographer will stand so he parks accordingly.
Destination weddings in Rajasthan, Goa and beyond
Udaipur, Jaipur and Jodhpur host a large share of India's destination weddings, and the cars usually come from a mix of local and positioned fleet. Palace venues often restrict vehicle movement inside the grounds, have narrow gates and set specific arrival windows for the baraat, so we confirm the venue's rules before the day. The Rajasthan Tourism site is a good reference for the heritage venues and the season. Our city pages go into local detail: wedding car rental in Jaipur, luxury car rental in Udaipur and wedding cars in Delhi.
When guests travel by road to the venue, outstation per-km fares apply. An Innova Crysta from Delhi to Jaipur, about 280 km one way, is Rs 15,960 Pay Now to Reserve at Rs 57.6 per km; a 45-seat luxury coach at Rs 210 per km is Rs 58,800 for the same run, before GST and tolls. For the drive itself, see the Delhi to Jaipur taxi page. Goa beach weddings, Kerala backwater ceremonies and hill weddings in Mussoorie or Shimla follow the same logic, with extra care for hill-driving norms and monsoon timing.
When to book, and what happens if plans change
The Indian wedding season runs roughly from November to February, with a second peak in April and May, and the auspicious dates cluster heavily. Decorated luxury cars, Rolls-Royces and vintage cars for the popular dates are often committed six to eight weeks ahead, guest Innovas and Tempo Travellers two to four weeks ahead. The earlier you share the function list, the better the match.
Wedding bookings follow the same cancellation policy as everything else on RutzIndia.com: no charge more than 72 hours before the pickup time, 10% within 72 hours, 50% within 48 hours, and the full fare within 24 hours or on a no-show. Adding a car or extending hours is usually possible up to the day itself, subject to availability. Payment is by card or UPI through the booker, and a GST invoice is issued in the name you choose, which matters when a company or a relative is paying.
Modern cars in the wedding fleet are within four model years; Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach up to seven. Vintage cars are, by definition, decades old and are selected for mechanical condition and valid papers rather than age.
Wedding car rental near me: city pages
For city-specific venues, traffic rules around wedding halls and local florists, go to the dedicated pages: Mumbai wedding cars, Hyderabad wedding cars, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Lucknow. Marque-specific guides cover the Rolls-Royce wedding car and the BMW wedding car. If you would like to understand the traditions the cars are serving, the baraat entry is a good starting point, and the broader overview of weddings in India explains how customs vary by region.
How customs change the car plan across India
The same fleet does very different jobs depending on the community and region, and it helps to tell the desk which customs apply:
- Punjabi and North Indian weddings revolve around the evening baraat, loud and long, with the doli after midnight. The bridal car must cope with slow crawling and a late vidaai.
- Marwari and Rajasthani weddings often run over three or four days in a palace or resort, so a car held for the whole period on daily packages is more economical than separate bookings.
- Gujarati weddings frequently have an afternoon or early-evening muhurat and a large guest list, which puts the emphasis on shuttles rather than on a single ceremonial car.
- South Indian weddings usually take place in the early morning, with the bride and groom arriving at the hall before dawn; decoration happens the evening before and jasmine features heavily.
- Bengali weddings traditionally see the groom's party travel to the bride's home in the evening, and a closed car is often preferred for the bor-jatri in the damp November air.
Christian, Muslim and Sikh ceremonies each have their own timings, and interfaith weddings often combine two sets of functions on consecutive days. Whatever the mix, one written plan covering every car keeps the families and the coordinator on the same page.
