Booking a Rolls-Royce for wedding day duty is not about horsepower or even comfort. It is about the ten seconds when the rear door swings open, the groom steps out under the lights, and three hundred phones come up at once. RutzIndia.com arranges Rolls-Royce Ghost, Phantom and Cullinan cars on rent with a trained chauffeur for the baraat entry, the bride's arrival and the doli, and plans the rest of the wedding fleet around it so the Rolls is never pulled away for an airport run.
What a Rolls-Royce for wedding costs in 2026
A Rolls-Royce for a wedding is quoted on request, because the price depends on the model, the city, the date and whether the car must be positioned from another city. The quote arrives in writing with every line itemised. For comparison, a flagship S-Class or BMW 7 Series costs Rs 57,600 Pay Now to Reserve for a 3-hour slot, before 5% GST.
We do not print a Rolls-Royce rate card because there is no single car behind it. The marque is rare in India, most cars sit with a small number of owners and operators, and a Phantom for a December Saturday in Delhi is a different proposition from a Ghost for a Tuesday in Hyderabad. What we can show is how the decorated Rolls-Royce sits against the other ceremonial cars in the fleet, whose fares are fixed:
| Wedding car | Seats | 3 hr slot | 5 hr / 50 km | 8 hr / 80 km | Decoration style (at florist's cost) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rolls-Royce Ghost, Phantom or Cullinan | 3 | on request | on request | on request | White roses or lilies, Spirit of Ecstasy kept clear |
| Flagship: Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series | 3 | Rs 57,600 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 69,600 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 96,000 Pay Now to Reserve | Long bonnet cascade and rear-door posies |
| Luxury SUV: Range Rover, GLS, X7 | 5 | Rs 34,200 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 41,330 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 57,000 Pay Now to Reserve | Grille garland for the second ceremonial car |
| Luxury MPV: Toyota Vellfire | 5 | Rs 32,400 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 39,150 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 54,000 Pay Now to Reserve | Simple side garlands for the parents |
| Luxury sedan: E-Class, 5 Series, A6 | 3 | Rs 22,500 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 27,190 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 37,500 Pay Now to Reserve | Ribbon and a single spray for the chief guest |
The fixed fares are base-city figures before 5% GST; Mumbai and Goa run about 10% higher. The 3-hour slot is billed on our 4 hr/40 km package, the 5-hour option adds one hour at one-eighth of the day rate, and the 8-hour option is the standard 8 hr/80 km day. For the Rolls-Royce itself, the written quote typically sets out a minimum block of hours, any positioning from another city, the chauffeur's night allowance of Rs 1,500 if the car stays over, and decoration at the florist's cost. Tolls, parking and interstate permits are always charged at actual cost.

Ghost, Phantom or Cullinan: which Rolls-Royce suits your wedding
All three carry the same presence, but they do different jobs on the day.
Rolls-Royce Ghost
The Ghost is the most common Rolls-Royce in Indian wedding fleets and the easiest to secure. It is a long, elegant saloon with rear-hinged coach doors that open away from the passenger, which makes the groom's exit look choreographed even when it is not. White and silver Ghosts photograph beautifully at night under venue lighting.
Rolls-Royce Phantom
The Phantom is the flagship: longer, taller, more formal, with a presence that dominates a porch. It is the car to choose when the entrance is the centrepiece of the evening, or when a very senior family elder or a chief guest is travelling. Phantoms are the rarest of the three, so they are the first to be committed for peak dates.
Rolls-Royce Cullinan
The Cullinan is the SUV. It suits farmhouse venues with gravel drives, resort weddings in the hills, and brides whose outfits need a higher, more upright seat to step into. It also copes better than the saloons with the uneven approach roads some palace and fort venues have.
Every Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach we supply is within seven model years. That is a deliberate exception to our four-year rule for other cars, because these marques are built and maintained for far longer service lives. If the model year matters for your photographs, ask and we will confirm it in the quote.
A Rolls-Royce wedding, minute by minute
The car earns its fee in a few precise moments. Planning them backwards from the muhurat keeps the evening calm:
- Ninety minutes before the baraat. The car arrives at the groom's hotel or home, already washed. The florist fits the flowers, which takes forty-five minutes to an hour.
- Forty-five minutes before. A private portrait session with the groom, the car and the photographer, away from the crowd. This is where the best pictures come from.
- The baraat. The Rolls-Royce follows the band at walking pace or waits at the final stretch while the groom rides the ghodi, then carries him the last few metres to the gate. The chauffeur keeps the cabin cool for the sherwani and sehra.
- The arrival. The chauffeur stops with the rear coach door aligned to the carpet, opens it from outside, and steps back. Many Rolls-Royce models keep an umbrella in the door, which is useful if it is drizzling in Mumbai or dewy on a Delhi January night.
- The bride's entry. Where the bride also arrives by car, a second ceremonial car or the same Rolls-Royce on a re-timed pickup can bring her in. We will advise which is realistic once we know the venue layout.
- The doli. After the vidaai, often well past midnight, the Rolls-Royce is waiting at the exit, decorated and cool, as a separately timed pickup so the chauffeur has rested.

Decorating a Rolls-Royce without harming it
Owners are rightly protective of these cars, and the rules are simple. Flowers are fixed with soft suction mounts, ribbon and fabric ties only: no tape on the paint, no wire on the chrome, no adhesive on the glass. The Spirit of Ecstasy on the bonnet is left clear, both out of respect for the emblem and because on many cars it is designed to retract. Less is more: a single cascade of white roses or lilies on the bonnet and small posies on the rear doors look richer on a Rolls-Royce than a full garland, and they let the famous grille show in photographs. If you want colour, match it to the lehenga or sherwani rather than to the car.
Sehra, ghodi and the Rolls-Royce
In many North Indian families the groom wears a sehra, a curtain of flowers or pearls over the face, and traditionally rides a decorated mare, the ghodi, for the last stretch of the baraat. A Rolls-Royce does not replace these customs so much as frame them. Some families have the groom ride the ghodi and then step into the Rolls-Royce for the final few metres to the mandap gate; others skip the mare altogether and let the car lead the band. If both are planned, tell the desk: the chauffeur needs to know where the ghodi will stop, because horses and long saloons should never share a narrow lane, and the car should wait downwind of the fireworks. A groom in a sehra also has limited vision, so the chauffeur guides him to the rear door rather than expecting him to find it. A sibling or friend usually walks beside him for the last few steps, holding the sehra aside while he settles into the rear seat, and the chauffeur waits for their signal before closing the door.

Where we can supply a Rolls-Royce for a wedding
Ultra-luxury cars are concentrated in the largest metros, and that is where short-notice requests are most likely to succeed. For a wedding in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore or Hyderabad, see our city pages: wedding cars in Delhi, wedding cars in Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. For destination weddings in Udaipur, Jaipur or Goa, a Rolls-Royce is usually positioned from a metro on a closed carrier, which is part of the quote; the Udaipur luxury car page covers how palace venues handle the rest of the fleet.
Building the rest of the wedding fleet around the Rolls-Royce
A Rolls-Royce seats three people in comfort and should never be used for shuttle work. The families who get the most out of it assign every other movement to a different car:
- The groom's parents and grandparents in a Toyota Vellfire, which has captain seats and a flat step-in height.
- A second ceremonial car for the bride, often a white S-Class or a BMW 7 Series if the Rolls is carrying the groom.
- Guest shuttles in Innova Crystas and Tempo Travellers, which are more practical for hotel loops.
- For a period look at the mehendi or haldi, a vintage wedding car as a counterpoint to the modern Rolls.
The full picture, with 3, 5 and 8 hour packages for every class, is on the main car rental for wedding page.
The chauffeur's brief for a Rolls-Royce wedding
A ceremonial car is only as good as the person driving it. Before the day, the chauffeur receives a written run sheet: the pickup address, the baraat start point, the gate the car will use, the photographer's name, and the time of the doli. He walks the venue approach with the event manager if it is a new venue, checks where the car can wait without blocking caterers, and agrees a signal with the family so he knows when to move. On the day he wears a formal uniform, keeps the car running cool in heat and warm in a North Indian winter, and never leaves it unattended with the doors unlocked. He does not carry guests between functions, and he does not smoke near the car. If a relative asks for a quick run to fetch something, he refers them politely to the coordinator, who sends a guest car instead.
Rolls-Royce or an S-Class: an honest comparison
Not every wedding needs a Rolls-Royce, and we would rather say so than oversell one. A flagship Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series offers nearly the same comfort, a very formal look in black or white, a fixed and published fare, and far better availability on peak dates. What it does not offer is the unmistakable silhouette and the Spirit of Ecstasy that guests recognise from across a lawn. If the arrival photograph is the heart of your plan, choose the Rolls-Royce and book early. If you need a beautiful, reliable ceremonial car and would rather put the budget into the guest experience, the S-Class tier is the calmer choice.
The support fleet around a Rolls-Royce
The Rolls-Royce is one car in a wedding that may need twenty. These are three support fleets we plan often, priced for one 8-hour day at base-city fares (the Rolls-Royce itself is quoted separately):
| Plan | Cars alongside the Rolls-Royce | 8 hr total for the support cars |
|---|---|---|
| Groom's side only | 1 Vellfire for the parents + 2 Innova Crystas for close family | Rs 79,200 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Both families, city wedding | 1 S-Class for the bride + 1 Vellfire + 4 Innova Crystas + 2 Tempo Travellers | Rs 2,39,400 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Destination wedding, Udaipur or Jaipur | 2 Range Rovers + 6 Innova Crystas + 1 luxury coach | Rs 2,61,600 Pay Now to Reserve |
All totals are before 5% GST, parking and tolls; Jaipur local fares are about 5% lower and Goa about 10% higher. Guest pickups are simplest in an Innova Crysta, and a pair of Range Rovers makes a good-looking escort for the Rolls-Royce at a palace venue. For coaches and mini buses, see bus on rent.
A destination wedding with a Rolls-Royce: the three-day plan
At a palace or lake-side venue in Udaipur or Jaipur, the Rolls-Royce usually arrives before the families do. A typical plan:
| Day | Rolls-Royce | Rest of the fleet |
|---|---|---|
| Two days before | Car arrives on a closed carrier from Delhi or Mumbai; detailed on arrival | Guest airport pickups begin in Innovas |
| Day before (mehendi, sangeet) | Rests; optional pre-wedding portraits at golden hour | Tempo Travellers loop between hotels and the sangeet venue |
| Wedding day | Groom's entry, bride's arrival, and the doli after the pheras | Full guest fleet, Range Rovers for the families |
| Day after | Reception arrival if needed; car loaded for the return | Airport and railway drops for departing guests |
The luxury car rental in Jaipur and luxury car rental in Goa pages show the local fixed-fare classes for the rest of the fleet. City weddings follow the same logic on a single day; for the south and west, see wedding cars in Chennai and wedding cars in Ahmedabad.
Choosing the colour of the Rolls-Royce
White and silver are the most requested for evening weddings, because they catch the venue lights and make flowers stand out. Black reads as formal and dramatic, and suits a reception or a winter evening under warm lights, though it shows every reflection in photographs. Two-tone cars, where available, are striking in daylight portraits. Match the flowers to the outfits rather than to the paint: red roses on white, ivory lilies on black, pale pink on silver. The desk states the colour of the specific car in your quote, so there is no surprise at the porch.
What else the written quote spells out: the exact model and model year, the reporting time and address, the number of hours and kilometres in the block, whether the doli is a separate pickup, the positioning line if the car travels from another city, the chauffeur's overnight allowance where relevant, and any conditions the owner sets on decoration, confetti or photography inside the cabin. Read it with your wedding planner before you pay; if a function time moves later, a revised quote is issued rather than an argument on the night.
Booking a Rolls-Royce wedding car and changing plans
In the peak season from November to February, and on the handful of dates astrologers favour, Rolls-Royces are committed six to eight weeks ahead, sometimes more. Send the date, city, venue and function timings through the contact page or WhatsApp the desk, and you will receive a written quote with the specific car, its colour and model year. Confirm and pay by card or UPI through the booker; a 5% GST invoice is issued in your chosen name.
The same cancellation policy applies to a Rolls-Royce as to a sedan: free if cancelled more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% of the fare within 72 hours, 50% within 48 hours and 100% within 24 hours or on a no-show. If you want a Rolls-Royce for a non-wedding occasion, such as an anniversary, a film shoot or a VIP airport arrival, see Rolls-Royce on rent.
