Choosing a BMW for wedding day transport says something specific: modern, sharp, a little understated, with the kidney grille and long bonnet that photograph well from almost any angle. It is the choice of couples who want a luxury car that looks current rather than ceremonial, and of families who want the same standard of car for the groom, the bride and the elders without paying Rolls-Royce prices. RutzIndia.com rents the BMW 5 Series, 7 Series and X7 with a trained chauffeur, decorated to your theme and priced on published fares.
BMW for wedding: fares for 3, 5 and 8 hours
For a wedding, a chauffeur-driven BMW 5 Series is Rs 37,500 Pay Now to Reserve for a whole day of 8 hours and 80 km, Rs 27,190 Pay Now to Reserve for a five-hour booking, and Rs 22,500 Pay Now to Reserve for a short ceremonial slot. An X7 begins at Rs 34,200 Pay Now to Reserve and a 7 Series at Rs 57,600 Pay Now to Reserve for that short slot. Add 5% GST; flowers are charged at cost.
Each BMW sits in one of our standard fleet classes, so its wedding price is simply the class fare. The 5 Series is in the luxury sedan class alongside the Mercedes E-Class and Audi A6. The X7 is in the luxury SUV class with the Range Rover, Mercedes GLS and Audi Q7. The 7 Series is in the flagship class with the Mercedes S-Class. When you ask specifically for a BMW, the desk confirms the marque before you pay.
| BMW model | Fleet class | Outstation per km | Full day, 8 hr / 80 km | Five hours, 50 km | Short slot, up to 3 hr | Decoration look (florist's cost) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BMW 5 Series | Luxury sedan | Rs 170 | Rs 37,500 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 27,190 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 22,500 Pay Now to Reserve | Grille outline and two door posies |
| BMW X7 | Luxury SUV | Rs 230 | Rs 57,000 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 41,330 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 34,200 Pay Now to Reserve | Bonnet bed of roses, roof-rail strings |
| BMW 7 Series | Flagship sedan | Rs 330 | Rs 96,000 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 69,600 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 57,600 Pay Now to Reserve | Diagonal cascade with initials in white blooms |
The arithmetic behind those columns is deliberately plain. The full day is our ordinary 8 hr/80 km package. The five-hour figure takes the 4 hr/40 km package and adds a single hour worth one-eighth of the full-day fare, with the kilometre allowance raised to 50. The short slot is simply the 4 hr/40 km package, the smallest unit we sell, which comfortably covers a portrait session and the groom's entry. The table uses base-city pricing, which applies in Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune. Local fares carry a 1.10 multiplier in Mumbai and Goa (a 5 Series day becomes Rs 41,250 Pay Now to Reserve), 1.05 in Bangalore (Rs 39,370 Pay Now to Reserve) and 0.95 in Jaipur and Ahmedabad (Rs 35,630 Pay Now to Reserve). Venue parking, tolls and any permit are passed on exactly as paid, and a driver allowance between Rs 900 and Rs 1,800 is added for each night the car spends away from its base.

Which BMW for which role on the wedding day
BMW 7 Series for the groom
The 7 Series is the BMW with the most ceremony in it: a long wheelbase, a rear cabin built for being driven in, and a presence at a porch that holds its own next to any Mercedes. It is our usual suggestion for the groom's entry when the family wants a flagship sedan. The 7 Series in white is one of the most requested wedding cars in North India; in black it reads as formal and quietly expensive in evening photographs.
BMW X7 for height, space and farmhouse drives
The X7 makes sense in three situations: the bride's outfit is heavy and a higher seat is easier to step into; the venue approach is a long gravel drive or a hill road; or the family wants one car that can carry the couple plus a sibling or two. Its upright stance also frames a floral bonnet arrangement well.
BMW 5 Series as the family car or second ceremonial car
The 5 Series is the practical hero of many weddings. It brings the bride's parents, carries the chief guest from the hotel, or acts as a second decorated car so that the bride and groom can arrive separately at the same time. Because it shares the luxury sedan fare with the E-Class, a pair of matching 5 Series cars for both sides of the family is often surprisingly affordable.
Mercedes for wedding, or BMW?
Many families search both "BMW for wedding" and "Mercedes for wedding" before deciding, and the honest answer is that the fares are identical class for class. The choice is aesthetic. Mercedes-Benz tends to look classical and soft-edged, especially the S-Class, which has been a wedding favourite in India for decades. BMW looks sharper and sportier, and the kidney grille gives the florist a natural frame. Some couples mix the two, with a Mercedes S-Class for the bride and a BMW 7 Series for the groom, which makes an interesting pair of photographs. If you lean towards the three-pointed star, see Mercedes on rent; for a non-wedding BMW, such as an airport run or a business day, see BMW car on rent.

Styling a BMW with fresh flowers
A BMW's design is linear, so decoration works best when it follows the lines rather than smothering them:
- Grille frame. A slim border of white roses or orchids around the kidney grille, with a single bonnet spray, is the signature BMW wedding look.
- Diagonal cascade. A ribbon of flowers from the front corner of the bonnet across to the windscreen base photographs well in three-quarter view.
- Door posies. Small arrangements on the rear door handles, colour-matched to the lehenga or sherwani.
- Glass roof moments. Where an X7 or 7 Series has a glass roof, photographers love a shot of the couple looking up through it under fairy lights; ask the chauffeur to open the blind.
Blooms are tied on with ribbon and held by soft-grip mounts; tape never goes near the paintwork. The florist finishes roughly sixty minutes ahead of the reporting time, and charges only for the flowers and labour your theme needs.
Colours, light and the photographs
BMW paint colours behave differently under wedding lighting, and a few minutes of thought before booking pays off in the album. White is the safest choice for evening functions: it glows under fairy lights and gives the florist a clean canvas for red or pink roses. Black is dramatic and formal but shows every reflection, so the photographer will want to shoot at an angle rather than straight on. Deep blue and grey are elegant in daylight and at a morning wedding, less so at night. Whatever the colour, ask the chauffeur to arrive with the car freshly washed and to wipe it down again just before the portrait session, because dust from a long approach road is visible in close-ups. Headlights on, interior lights on and the rear door open to the camera make the most of a BMW at dusk. If a drone is part of the shoot, tell the desk: the chauffeur will need to hold the car in position for a few minutes while it flies.

One BMW for the whole wedding week
Indian weddings run for days: mehendi, haldi, sangeet, wedding and reception, often with a puja in between. Rather than booking a different car each time, many families hold one BMW for the week on 8-hour packages. A 5 Series for three function days in Delhi costs 3 x Rs 37,500 Pay Now to Reserve = Rs 1,12,500 Pay Now to Reserve before GST; the same in Mumbai is 3 x Rs 41,250 Pay Now to Reserve = Rs 1,23,750 Pay Now to Reserve. The chauffeur learns the family, the venues and the timings, which removes a lot of small friction. For guests on those days, an Innova Crysta on rent at Rs 12,600 a day or a Tempo Traveller is far better value than extra luxury sedans.
Matched BMW sets and guest fleets
One reason families like BMW for weddings is that the three models look like a set: the same grille, the same design language, in matching colours. That makes it easy to build a coordinated fleet where the groom, the bride and the parents all arrive in BMWs, with plainer guest vehicles doing the shuttling. Three combinations, priced for a single 8-hour day at base-city fares:
| Fleet | What it includes | 8 hr total |
|---|---|---|
| Couple's pair | 7 Series for the groom + 5 Series for the bride | Rs 1,33,500 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Family trio | 7 Series + X7 for the bride's family + 5 Series for the groom's parents | Rs 1,90,500 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Full wedding set | 7 Series + 2 x 5 Series + 4 Innova Crystas + 2 Tempo Travellers | Rs 2,60,400 Pay Now to Reserve |
Totals exclude 5% GST, parking and tolls; in Mumbai, add 10%. Matching colour across several BMWs is easiest on weekdays and outside the peak weeks, so mention it early. For guest vehicles, see Innova Crysta on rent and Tempo Traveller on rent.
A BMW wedding day: the timeline
For a reception-style evening wedding with a 7 Series for the groom and a 5 Series for the bride, the day usually runs like this:
| Time | 7 Series (groom) | 5 Series (bride) |
|---|---|---|
| 4:30 pm | Arrives at the groom's hotel; florist begins | Arrives at the bride's salon or home |
| 5:30 pm | Portraits with the groom and his siblings | Florist finishes posies to match the lehenga |
| 6:30 pm | Baraat assembles; car waits at the final stretch | Bride's family travels to the venue in the X7 or an Innova |
| 7:30 pm | Groom's entry at the gate | Bride waits at the venue green room |
| 8:30 pm | Car moves to the waiting bay | Bride's formal entry with the car at the carpet |
| 12:30 am | Doli pickup at the exit, flowers refreshed | Released, or kept for the family's return |
A morning muhurtham in Chennai or Bangalore flips the timing: decoration the night before, reporting at dawn and both cars released by lunch, which often fits inside the 5-hour option.
Which BMW for which wedding tradition
The choice of car often follows the ceremony. At a Hindu wedding, where the rituals centre on the pheras around the sacred fire, the car's big moments are the baraat and the vidaai, so the 7 Series or X7 does the ceremonial work. At a Sikh Anand Karaj, usually held in the morning at a gurdwara, a 5 Series in white is a popular, understated choice, and decoration is kept modest out of respect for the venue. Christian weddings in Goa, Kerala and Mumbai often use the car for the bride's arrival at the church, where a 7 Series with its wide rear door makes a gown easier to manage. At Muslim weddings, the car frequently carries the groom to the nikah venue and then the couple to the walima, which can be a day later, so a two-day booking on the 8-hour package is common.
What to send the desk for a BMW wedding quote
A complete request gets a firm answer in one go. Before you write or WhatsApp the desk, gather:
- Every function with its date, start time and venue, including the baraat start point if it differs from the venue.
- Which BMW for which person, for example 7 Series for the groom, X7 for the bride's parents.
- Colour preference, and whether matching colours across cars matter to you.
- Decoration theme and outfit colours, so the florist can plan the palette and the time needed.
- Photographer's name and arrival time, so the portrait slot is protected.
- The doli timing, even if approximate, so the chauffeur's rest break can be scheduled.
- Guest numbers and hotels, if you want the shuttle fleet in the same quote.
- Billing name and GSTIN, if a company or a relative is paying.
The desk replies with a single written plan listing each car, slot and fare, which you can pay for by card or UPI once everyone agrees. If a function time moves after payment, the desk reissues the plan with the new slot, and the difference, if any, is settled on the same invoice.
BMW for a destination wedding: outstation fares
If the family would like the same BMW to drive them to a destination wedding, outstation per-km fares apply. Some examples using distances from our route pages, before GST and tolls:
- Delhi to Jaipur, roughly 280 km each way: Rs 46,200 in a 5 Series at Rs 165.6 per km, or Rs 92,400 in a 7 Series at Rs 330 per km. See Delhi to Jaipur taxi.
- Mumbai to Goa, about 590 km one way: Rs 97,350 Pay Now to Reserve in a 5 Series. For a round trip over several days, the 250 km per day minimum applies. See Mumbai to Goa taxi.
- Delhi to Udaipur is usually better done as a flight plus a local car; the luxury car rental in Udaipur page covers local BMW availability for palace weddings.
