Jaipur is close enough to Delhi for a weekend and far enough to feel like another world: pink sandstone bazaars, hill forts above the city and palace hotels that host half of north India's winter weddings. A Delhi to Jaipur taxi is often the simplest way to get there. There is no station transfer at either end, the family travels together, and the car can drop you at a haveli in the walled city, a farmhouse venue on the Ajmer road or the airport at Sanganer. RutzIndia.com publishes the Delhi to Jaipur cab fare openly and sends a chauffeur in a car within four model years of age.
How much is a Delhi to Jaipur taxi?
A Delhi to Jaipur one way taxi costs Rs 10,080 Pay Now to Reserve in a compact sedan, about 280 km at Rs 36/km, and Rs 15,960 Pay Now to Reserve in an Innova Crysta. A same-day return is billed on 560 km: Rs 20,160 Pay Now to Reserve by sedan. All prices are before 5% GST; tolls, Rajasthan entry charges if any, and parking are added at actual.
| Car | One way (280 km) | Same-day or 2-day return (560 km) | 3-day Jaipur weekend (750 km) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Swift Dzire / Honda Amaze | Rs 10,080 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 20,160 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 27,000 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Honda City / Hyundai Verna | Rs 13,440 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 26,880 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 36,000 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Maruti Ertiga / Kia Carens | Rs 11,760 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 23,520 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 31,500 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Innova Crysta / Hycross | Rs 15,960 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 31,920 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 42,750 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Toyota Fortuner | Rs 23,520 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 47,040 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 63,000 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Mercedes E-Class / BMW 5 Series | Rs 46,200 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 92,400 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 1,23,750 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Tempo Traveller | Rs 21,840 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 43,680 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 58,500 Pay Now to Reserve |
The return round trip of 560 km is above the 250 km-a-day minimum for one or two days, so an overnight in Jaipur costs the same distance charge as coming back the same evening, plus the driver's night allowance of Rs 1,500. A three-day weekend is billed on 750 km, which leaves plenty of kilometres for Amer, Nahargarh and a day trip to Samode or Abhaneri.

Two roads to Jaipur
NH48 through Gurgaon, Neemrana and Shahpura. The traditional route, and still the default for most pickups in west and south Delhi or Gurgaon. The chauffeur heads down the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway past Manesar, Dharuhera and Bawal, crosses into Rajasthan near Shahjahanpur, and continues via Behror, Kotputli and Shahpura to Jaipur. The last stretch enters the city along the Delhi Road beneath Amer Fort, a spectacular first view if you arrive in daylight. The road is six-laned for long stretches but carries heavy truck traffic, and there are construction diversions from time to time.
The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The new access-controlled Delhi-Mumbai Expressway runs from Sohna past Alwar district to Dausa, where a link road heads west into Jaipur. It avoids the NH48 trucks and towns, and for pickups in south Delhi, Faridabad or Noida it is often the quicker choice. It approaches Jaipur from the east rather than past Amer.
Your chauffeur picks the road on the day. The fare stays the same either way because we charge on the standard route distance.
Toll plazas and interstate notes
NH48 has several toll plazas, including Kherki Daula near Gurgaon and others inside Rajasthan such as Shahjahanpur and Manoharpur; the expressway has its own closed tolling system. Toll rates change periodically and differ between the two roads, so they are charged at actual through FASTag and listed on your invoice. The trip crosses from Delhi through Haryana into Rajasthan on our cars' All-India tourist permits; if a state entry charge applies to a particular vehicle, it is billed at cost with a receipt.
Departure times that work
- 6 to 7 am: the best slot. You clear the Gurgaon toll before office traffic and reach Jaipur by late morning.
- After 8 pm: also fine; roads are clear and you arrive around midnight. Good for wedding guests who work the day before.
- Friday 5 to 9 pm: avoid if possible. Gurgaon's evening peak and the weekend exodus combine at Kherki Daula and Manesar.
- Sunday afternoon, Jaipur to Delhi: the return rush. Leave before noon or after 7 pm.
In December and January, early-morning fog on the plains around Behror and Kotputli can slow the first two hours. Your chauffeur will adjust speed accordingly.

Stops between Delhi and Jaipur
- Neemrana: the restored 15th-century fort-palace is visible from the highway about 120 km from Delhi; day visits can usually be arranged with the hotel in advance.
- Behror: the classic halfway halt, with large highway restaurants serving north Indian breakfasts, thalis and tea.
- Shahpura and Kotputli: fuel and quick snacks.
- Amer Fort and Jal Mahal: as you enter the city on the NH48 approach; a photo stop at Jal Mahal on Man Sagar lake is easy.
- Samode: a detour of roughly an hour to the painted palace and its village, for those with time.
- On the expressway approach: the Chand Baori stepwell at Abhaneri and the ruins at Bhangarh are detours for curious travellers.
Where we pick up in Delhi NCR
We collect from anywhere in the capital region. Gurgaon addresses such as Cyber City, Golf Course Road and Sohna Road are the fastest starts because they are already on the Jaipur side. South and west Delhi, Dwarka and Vasant Kunj follow. North and east Delhi and Noida take longer on NH48 and often suit the expressway better.
Straight from IGI Airport: many international travellers go to Jaipur directly after landing at Terminal 3. The chauffeur tracks the flight and waits with a name board; you have 60 minutes free after an international arrival and 30 minutes after a domestic one, with further waiting billed at the hourly rate. The Delhi airport taxi page explains meeting points.

Drop points across Jaipur
- The walled Pink City: Hawa Mahal, Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar. The chauffeur drops at the nearest gate where cars are allowed.
- Hotel districts: MI Road, C-Scheme, Civil Lines, Bani Park and the palace hotels around Rambagh.
- Wedding venues: the heritage palaces near Amer and on the Delhi Road, and the farmhouse and resort venues on Ajmer Road and Tonk Road.
- Residential areas: Malviya Nagar, Vaishali Nagar, Mansarovar and Jagatpura.
- Jaipur International Airport at Sanganer, and Jaipur Junction railway station.
For sightseeing ideas, Rajasthan Tourism lists Amer, Nahargarh, the City Palace and the Jantar Mantar observatory, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our Jaipur taxi service offers 8 hr / 80 km cars for a full day of forts and bazaars.
Weddings, festivals and busy dates
Jaipur's wedding season runs roughly from November to February, peaking on auspicious dates published in the Hindu calendar. On those weekends every good car in the city is booked, so guests travelling from Delhi should reserve at least a week ahead. Families often combine a Delhi to Jaipur Innova or Tempo Traveller for guests with a decorated wedding car in Jaipur for the ceremony itself.
Other peaks: the Jaipur Literature Festival in late January, Diwali when the bazaars are lit up, Holi in March, and Teej and Gangaur, the city's own festivals of women and monsoon. Summer from April to June is hot, with afternoons often above 40 degrees, but hotel rates drop and early-morning fort visits are pleasant.
A three-day Jaipur weekend with the same car
Here is how the 750 km three-day booking in the fare table is typically used. The sedan price is Rs 27,000 Pay Now to Reserve and the Innova Rs 42,750 Pay Now to Reserve before GST, plus two night allowances.
Friday. Leave Gurgaon at 6.30 am, breakfast at Behror, and reach Jaipur around noon. Check in, rest, then drive up to Nahargarh Fort for the sunset over the city. Dinner in C-Scheme.
Saturday. Start early at Amer Fort before the heat and the crowds; the car waits at the parking below while you walk up or take the jeep ride. Stop at Jal Mahal on the way back, then spend the afternoon at the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal in the walled city. The chauffeur knows where cars can stop near each gate. Evening shopping in Johari Bazaar for jewellery or Bapu Bazaar for textiles and mojris.
Sunday. A morning out of town: the painted palace at Samode, or the stepwell at Abhaneri if you are heading home by the expressway. Leave Jaipur by early afternoon to beat the Sunday rush into Gurgaon, and reach Delhi by evening.
That plan uses roughly 650 to 700 km, well within the billed 750. If you want a guide for the forts, our desk can recommend government-approved guides; their fees are paid directly and are not part of the taxi fare.
Beyond Jaipur
Jaipur is the start of most Rajasthan journeys. From here, the Jaipur to Udaipur taxi runs about 395 km to the lake city, and the Rajasthan tour by car keeps one chauffeur for Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Udaipur. Travelling the other way round the circuit, the Agra to Jaipur taxi links the Taj to the Pink City, and the Golden Triangle tour by car wraps Delhi, Agra and Jaipur into one booking. For a trip centred on the Taj instead, see the Delhi to Agra taxi.

These rates were last updated in September 2026, and wedding-season dates cost the same as any other day.

Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach for Jaipur weddings are priced on request. Nothing in the table includes 5% GST, tolls, parking or the night allowance.
Worked example: moving wedding guests from Gurgaon
A family hosting a wedding at a palace venue near Amer needs to bring 18 guests from Gurgaon on the morning of the mehendi. Three Innova Crystas and one Tempo Traveller, all one way, come to 3 x Rs 15,960 plus Rs 21,840 Pay Now to Reserve: Rs 69,720 Pay Now to Reserve. GST adds Rs 3,490, and the NH48 tolls for each vehicle are added at actual. The same guests travelling back after the wedding are booked as separate one-way trips from Jaipur, so the cars are not billed while they wait through three days of celebrations. For the ceremony itself, many hosts add a decorated car from our wedding car rental in Jaipur fleet.
Distance, time and toll plazas on NH48
The breakdown below follows NH48 from Connaught Place to MI Road on a weekday morning. Distances are approximate and plaza positions are as commonly known; all tolls are deducted by FASTag and billed at actual.
| Leg | Km (approx.) | Driving time | Toll plaza |
|---|---|---|---|
| Connaught Place to Kherki Daula | 35 | 50-60 min | Kherki Daula, Gurgaon |
| Kherki Daula to Dharuhera | 35 | 35 min | none |
| Dharuhera to Shahjahanpur (Haryana-Rajasthan border, near Neemrana) | 50 | 45 min | Shahjahanpur |
| Shahjahanpur to Behror | 12 | 10 min | none |
| Behror to Kotputli | 30 | 25 min | none |
| Kotputli to Shahpura | 38 | 35 min | none |
| Shahpura to Manoharpur | 15 | 15 min | Manoharpur |
| Manoharpur to Amer | 50 | 45 min | none |
| Amer to MI Road | 15 | 25-30 min | none |
| Total | about 280 km | about 5 hrs |
Travelling by the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway instead, tolls are charged for the distance between the interchanges you use, and you approach Jaipur from Dausa in the east. Construction zones on NH48 near Gurgaon and Behror can shift, so allow some slack if you have a fixed time at a venue.
Train, bus, flight, self-drive or a private cab to Jaipur?
| Way to travel | Door to door | Time on the move | Luggage | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shatabdi, Double Decker or Vande Bharat | No, station to station | Roughly 4.5 hrs on the fastest trains | Carry-on | Solo travellers close to New Delhi or Delhi Cantt stations |
| Rajasthan roadways or private Volvo | No, terminal to Sindhi Camp | About 5.5-6 hrs | Boot, handled by you | Budget solo trips |
| Flight to Jaipur | No, airport to airport | About 1 hr airborne, plus check-in | Checked bags | Travellers connecting from other flights |
| Self-drive car | Yes | About 5 hrs at the wheel | Your car's boot | Drivers wanting a car for a Rajasthan loop |
| Car with chauffeur | Yes | About 5 hrs, you relax | Boot and cabin | Families, wedding guests, airport arrivals |
Jaipur is well served by trains, including a Vande Bharat Express service on the Delhi-Ajmer line, and timings are on the Indian Railways train enquiry portal. Flights land at Sanganer, and passenger information is on the Jaipur airport site. For a single traveller heading to a central hotel, these are sensible choices. For a family with wedding outfits in garment bags, a group of friends, or anyone landing at IGI who does not want a second check-in, a car from the doorstep is usually the less tiring way, and the price per head drops sharply once three or four people share it.

A same-day business trip to Jaipur
Plenty of Gurgaon and Delhi professionals do Jaipur in a day: a factory audit at Sitapura, a meeting at the Secretariat, a supplier visit at Mansarovar. The plan that works is simple:
- Leave at 6 am from Gurgaon or 5.30 am from central Delhi, with breakfast in the car or a quick stop at Behror.
- Arrive by about 11 am. The chauffeur drops you at the gate and waits nearby, or runs a second errand if you ask.
- Leave Jaipur by 4 pm. That puts you through Shahjahanpur before the evening truck traffic and home by about 9 to 9.30 pm.
The car is billed on 560 km, which is Rs 20,160 Pay Now to Reserve by Swift Dzire or Rs 26,880 Pay Now to Reserve by Honda City before GST, with tolls at actual. For regular travel, our corporate car rental desk can set up monthly invoicing with GST credit. If the meeting runs late, an overnight is often better than a tired late-night drive; the fare for a return within two days stays at 560 km, with one night allowance added.
Landing at IGI and going straight to Jaipur
International visitors often skip a Delhi hotel and head straight for Rajasthan. Here is how the pickup works:
- Share your flight number when booking. The desk tracks the flight, so an early or late landing is handled automatically.
- Clear immigration and collect bags. You have 60 minutes free from the actual landing time on an international flight (30 on a domestic one) before waiting is billed hourly.
- Meet the chauffeur outside arrivals, holding a card with your name. The chauffeur helps with luggage and walks you to the car in the pickup area.
- Rest on the way. From Terminal 3 the car is on NH48 within minutes; a stop for water, snacks or a SIM card can be made on request.
- Arrive at the hotel door in Jaipur, typically five to six hours after leaving the airport, depending on traffic.
If you land late at night after a long-haul flight, we would suggest a night in Aerocity and a morning start; the fare is the same and the drive far more pleasant in daylight.
Heading home from Jaipur
The busiest time on NH48 southbound is Sunday afternoon and evening, when weekend visitors and wedding guests return together and the Kherki Daula plaza backs up. Leaving Jaipur before 11 am or after an early dinner avoids most of it. A one-way Jaipur to Delhi cab is priced on the same distance as the outbound trip.
Choosing a car, booking and cancellation
A compact sedan suits couples and business travellers; an Ertiga or Innova suits families and anyone with wedding trunks; a Fortuner or Mercedes E-Class suits VIP guests and client visits; a Tempo Traveller in Jaipur or from Delhi moves a whole baraat or a college group. Book on the booking page, see the fare with 5% GST on a separate line, and pay by card or UPI. Companies can have a GST invoice in their name.
Included: the car, the chauffeur and fuel. At actual: tolls, any state entry charge, parking and the night allowance on overnight trips. Cancelling is free until 72 hours before pickup; after that we retain 10% of the fare within 72 hours, 50% within 48 hours and the whole fare within 24 hours or on a no-show. The cancellation policy gives the details.
