Taxi service in Jaipur: sightseeing and outstation prices
In Jaipur a sedan with driver costs Rs 6,840 Pay Now to Reserve for a full sightseeing day of 8 hours/80 km, Rs 4,110 Pay Now to Reserve for 4 hours/40 km and Rs 3,750 Pay Now to Reserve for an airport transfer within 40 km. Outstation cabs to Udaipur, Agra or Delhi cost Rs 36/km in a sedan and Rs 57.6/km in an Innova Crysta, before 5% GST, tolls and parking.
Jaipur is where many India journeys begin: the third corner of the Golden Triangle, the gateway to Rajasthan's palace towns and one of the country's favourite wedding destinations. Getting around it means forts on hilltops, bazaars inside the old walls where parking is scarce, and highways that fan out to Agra, Delhi, Ajmer and Udaipur. The RutzIndia.com taxi service in Jaipur gives you a private air-conditioned car and a local chauffeur for the day, the airport or the open road, at a fare you see before you pay.
Local and airport fares in Jaipur use a 0.95 city multiplier, slightly below the national card; the per-km rates for outstation trips are the same everywhere in India.
| Cab type | Per km outstation | Full day 8 hr / 80 km | Half day 4 hr / 40 km | Airport drop or pickup |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sedan (Swift Dzire class) | Rs 36 | Rs 6,840 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 4,110 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 3,750 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Ertiga / Carens (6 seats) | Rs 42 | Rs 8,550 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 5,130 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 4,710 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Innova Crysta / Hycross (6 seats) | Rs 57.6 | Rs 11,970 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 7,170 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 6,570 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Fortuner / Gloster SUV | Rs 84 | Rs 21,360 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 12,840 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 11,760 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Tempo Traveller (12-26 seats) | Rs 78 | Rs 18,540 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 11,100 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 10,200 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Mercedes E-Class / BMW 5 / Audi A6 | Rs 170 | Rs 35,640 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 21,360 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 19,590 Pay Now to Reserve |
All prices are in rupees before 5% GST. Highway tolls, monument and hotel parking, and state permits for trips into Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh or Gujarat are passed through at the receipt amount. Out-of-town round trips bill at least 250 km per calendar day, and when the driver stays overnight you pay a night allowance of Rs 1,500.

A full day of Jaipur sightseeing by car
The 8 hr/80 km package is what most visitors book, because Jaipur's highlights are spread from the walled city to the Aravalli ridges. A sedan costs Rs 6,840 Pay Now to Reserve and an Innova Crysta Rs 11,970 Pay Now to Reserve for the day. A route that works well:
- Amer Fort early, before the tour buses arrive. The driver drops you at the base; you can walk up the ramp or take a jeep to the gate.
- Jal Mahal photo stop on the Amer road.
- Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Jantar Mantar in the walled city, all within a short walk of each other.
- Lunch at a rooftop restaurant or a classic MI Road eatery.
- Albert Hall Museum in Ram Niwas Garden.
- Sunset at Nahargarh Fort, reached by a narrow hill road that our drivers know well.
If you prefer shorter days, the 4 hr/40 km slot at Rs 4,110 Pay Now to Reserve covers either the Amer side or the old city, not both. Ticket rules, composite passes and opening days are on the Rajasthan Tourism website. Shopping for block prints, blue pottery or gems in Johari Bazaar, Bapu Bazaar and Tripolia is best done on foot, so the driver waits outside the walls while you explore.
For a car and chauffeur over several days, including multi-city Rajasthan itineraries, see car rental with driver in Jaipur and the Rajasthan tour by car page.
Jaipur airport taxi: Sanganer distances
Jaipur International Airport sits at Sanganer on the southern edge of the city, just off Tonk Road and JLN Marg, which makes most hotels a 20-40 minute drive. Flight and terminal information is on the Airports Authority of India page for Jaipur. The chauffeur follows your flight, meets you with a name board and allows an hour of free waiting after an international landing or half an hour after a domestic one; longer waits are charged at the hourly rate.
| Area | Distance from the airport (about) | Typical drive |
|---|---|---|
| Malviya Nagar, Jagatpura | 5-6 km | 15 min |
| Sitapura, Tonk Road hotels | 7-8 km | 20 min |
| Raja Park, C-Scheme | 10-11 km | 25-30 min |
| MI Road, Jaipur Junction | 12-13 km | 30 min |
| Hawa Mahal, walled city, Bani Park | 14 km | 35 min |
| Vaishali Nagar | 16 km | 40 min |
| Amer, Kukas palace resorts | 25-35 km | 50-70 min |
Resorts further out on the Delhi or Ajmer highways are priced on distance in the booker. For group arrivals and wedding guest pickups, see the section on weddings below.

| Udaipur round trip, two days | 790 km | Rs 28,440 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 45,030 Pay Now to Reserve | Actual km |
Fares are before GST, tolls, parking and interstate permits, and two-day trips add one driver night allowance. A popular Golden Triangle variation is to drive Jaipur to Agra with stops at the Chand Baori stepwell in Abhaneri and the Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri; it adds a couple of hours but no extra distance charge beyond the kilometres driven. For Ranthambore, safari jeeps and canters are booked separately through the forest department, and the driver waits at your hotel in Sawai Madhopur. Once you reach Udaipur, Jodhpur or Agra, continue with our taxi service in Udaipur, taxi service in Jodhpur or taxi service in Agra. The Golden Triangle tour by car packages all three cities with one car and driver.
Wedding season and group travel in Jaipur
From November to February, and again around auspicious dates in spring, Jaipur hosts a remarkable number of weddings in palace hotels, heritage havelis and resorts along the Delhi and Ajmer highways. Transport is often the hardest part to plan: guests landing at different times, shuttles between hotels and venues, a baraat that needs a decorated car or a vintage convertible, and a late-night return after the pheras.
For guest movement, a Tempo Traveller seats 12 to 26 and costs Rs 18,540 Pay Now to Reserve for a local day; see tempo traveller in Jaipur. For the couple and family, wedding car rental in Jaipur arranges decorated luxury cars, and luxury car rental in Jaipur supplies Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Range Rover for VIPs. Every car is within four model years, while Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach may be up to seven. For large weddings the desk coordinates by WhatsApp with the family's planner so pickups match flight lists.

Festivals, weather and timing in Jaipur
- Makar Sankranti (14 January): the kite festival fills rooftops across the old city; roads are quiet by day and busy in the evening.
- Jaipur Literature Festival (late January): hotels fill up and traffic around the venue slows; book cars early.
- Holi and Gangaur (March/April): colourful processions through the walled city close some roads.
- Teej (July/August): processions from City Palace and a monsoon mood across the city.
- Diwali: the bazaars of Johari, Bapu and MI Road are lit up and extremely crowded, so drivers drop you at the edge.
- Summer (April to June): temperatures can pass 45 degrees; start sightseeing at 7 am, rest in the afternoon and head to Nahargarh for sunset.
Parking inside the walled city is limited, and many streets are one way. Our drivers know the parking bays near Hawa Mahal, Choti Chaupar and the City Palace side gates, which saves you walking in the heat.
Neighbourhoods and stations we cover
We collect from every part of Jaipur: the walled city and Johari Bazaar, C-Scheme, Civil Lines, Bani Park, Raja Park, Malviya Nagar, Mansarovar, Vaishali Nagar, Jagatpura, Sitapura, Tonk Road, Durgapura and Ajmer Road, plus the heritage hotels at Amer and the resorts at Kukas. Station pickups at Jaipur Junction, Gandhinagar and Durgapura are routine; share your train number and coach and the driver meets you at the exit.
Who books a Jaipur cab with us
Three kinds of traveller typically need a Jaipur cab. The first is the foreign or NRI visitor on a Golden Triangle or wider Rajasthan circuit, who wants a clean car (an English-speaking chauffeur is available on request, subject to availability) and someone to wait patiently outside forts and craft workshops. The second is the Indian family on a long weekend from Delhi, Gujarat or Mumbai, usually with parents and children, who book an Innova Crysta for two or three days of sightseeing plus a day trip to Ajmer or Ranthambore. The third is the wedding party, which needs a fleet of cars and Tempo Travellers moving on a tight schedule between hotels, mehendi, sangeet and the main ceremony.
Business travellers need cars too, for meetings at Sitapura and Mahindra World City, trade fairs at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre, and gem and jewellery buyers visiting Johari Bazaar. Each of them gets the same fixed fare and a GST invoice, and repeat corporate users can move to monthly billing through corporate car rental.
Jaipur hire packages: half day, full day and 12 hours
A Jaipur day with a palace wedding, a late sangeet or a sightseeing loop that ends with dinner at Nahargarh can easily outlast eight hours. The 12 hr/120 km package prices that longer day in advance. It is one and a half times the Jaipur 8 hour fare plus 40 km at the car's per-km rate, rounded to Rs 30. All three packages include the 0.95 Jaipur multiplier; fares updated September 2026.
| Jaipur plan | Twelve hours / 120 km | Eight hours / 80 km | Four hours / 40 km | Car |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amer, the walled city and a Nahargarh dinner | Rs 11,700 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 6,840 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 4,110 Pay Now to Reserve | Dzire-class sedan |
| Family day at Galta Ji, Birla Mandir and Chokhi Dhani | Rs 14,520 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 8,550 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 5,130 Pay Now to Reserve | Ertiga or Carens |
| Wedding guests between hotel, mehendi and sangeet | Rs 20,220 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 11,970 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 7,170 Pay Now to Reserve | Innova Crysta or Hycross |
| VIP guests who want an SUV at a palace venue | Rs 35,430 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 21,360 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 12,840 Pay Now to Reserve | Fortuner or Gloster |
| A baraat group from a Kukas resort | Rs 30,900 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 18,540 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 11,100 Pay Now to Reserve | Tempo Traveller |
| Board members at a Rambagh or Jai Mahal event | Rs 60,030 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 35,640 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 21,360 Pay Now to Reserve | Mercedes E-Class class |
Time usually runs out before distance in Jaipur, because forts and bazaars involve long stops. A day that adds a Kukas resort or a Ramgarh lake lunch uses kilometres faster, and the 12 hour package covers it. Beyond the package, extra hours and kilometres are billed at the rates shown in the booker when you confirm.
Jaipur cab rate per km, with two Rajasthan examples
Outstation journeys are billed per kilometre at national rates. The table applies them to two drives that start in Jaipur: the 340 km one way run to Jodhpur, and the 560 km one way journey into the desert at Jaisalmer.

| Mercedes E-Class class | Rs 170 | Rs 56,100 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 92,400 Pay Now to Reserve |
Round trips bill the higher of the actual distance and 250 km per calendar day, with a driver night allowance for each night away. Every figure is before 5% GST, tolls and parking. For desert circuits, an Innova Crysta is the most comfortable choice for families; its capacity and those of the other classes are on the fleet page and the Innova Crysta on rent page.

Pre-booked chauffeur, app cab or autorickshaw in Jaipur?

This is a guide to fit, not a ranking. Visitors from abroad can read NRI car hire in India, and couples planning a heritage-style entry can look at a vintage car for wedding.
Shopping, crafts and food with a car in Jaipur
Jaipur is one of India's great craft cities, and a car makes a shopping day far easier because workshops sit outside the old walls. Sanganer, near the airport, is known for hand block printing and handmade paper; Bagru, about 30 km west, for natural-dye prints; and the blue pottery workshops are spread along the Amer road and in the city. Gem cutters and jewellers cluster around Johari Bazaar and Gopalji ka Rasta, where the chauffeur drops you at a gate and waits outside the lanes. For food, the old city's sweet shops and kachori stalls are best in the morning, while the Rajasthani thali restaurants and rooftop cafes near Hawa Mahal suit a late lunch. The Hawa Mahal is at its most photogenic in early morning light from the cafes across the road. A sedan on an 8 hour package, Rs 6,840 Pay Now to Reserve, covers Sanganer, Bagru and the bazaars in one unhurried day, with room in the boot for rugs, quilts and pottery.
A three-day Jaipur plan with one car and chauffeur
Many visitors give Jaipur two or three days, and booking all the days together, so we can keep the same car and driver where possible, makes the stay easier: luggage stays in the boot, the chauffeur learns your pace, and pickups happen at the hotel porch rather than the kerb. This plan uses local packages inside the city and a round trip for the day out.
| Day | Plan | Suggested booking | Sedan fare | Innova Crysta fare |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Airport pickup, rest, then Albert Hall and an evening at Nahargarh | Airport transfer plus 4 hr/40 km | Rs 3,750 Pay Now to Reserve + Rs 4,110 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 6,570 Pay Now to Reserve + Rs 7,170 Pay Now to Reserve |
| 2 | Amer Fort, Jal Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, bazaars | 8 hr/80 km | Rs 6,840 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 11,970 Pay Now to Reserve |
| 3 | Day trip to Ajmer and Pushkar, back by night | Round trip, about 300 km | Rs 10,800 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 17,100 Pay Now to Reserve |
The total for three days is Rs 25,500 Pay Now to Reserve in a sedan or Rs 42,810 Pay Now to Reserve in an Innova Crysta, before 5% GST, parking, tolls and monument tickets. If you are continuing to Udaipur or Agra rather than flying home, replace day three with a one way transfer and see the outstation tables above.
A few tips improve the experience. Buy a composite monument ticket if you plan to see several state-protected sites; it saves time at each gate. Start Amer early, ideally by 8 am, before the heat and the tour groups. Keep day one light after a flight, since the old city is best explored with energy. In winter, carry a shawl for the evening at Nahargarh, where the wind on the ramparts is cold after sunset. And if a member of the group finds climbing difficult, tell the chauffeur: he can drop you at the upper gates where vehicles are allowed, rather than at the foot of the ramp.
How to book and what the fare covers
Book in the online booker, choose airport, local or outstation, see the fare and pay by card or UPI; the driver's details reach you on WhatsApp before pickup. The fare includes the car, chauffeur, fuel and the kilometres in your package. GST at 5%, tolls, parking, permits and night allowances are extra, and every trip produces a GST invoice for company claims.
Cancel free of charge until 72 hours before pickup. After that we retain 10% up to 48 hours before, 50% up to 24 hours before, and the full fare inside 24 hours or on a no-show. The cancellation policy has the complete terms, and the fares page explains every rate in detail.
