Rolls-Royce on rent is a very particular request. Nobody books one to get from A to B; they book it because the arrival itself carries a message, whether that is respect for a visiting chairman, a surprise for a fortieth wedding anniversary or a single frame in a music video. RutzIndia.com sources Rolls-Royce Ghost, Phantom and Cullinan cars with a professional chauffeur in Delhi NCR, Mumbai and the other major metros, and quotes each booking individually and in writing.
Rolls-Royce on rent: how the price is worked out
Rolls-Royce hire in India is quoted on request, with a written, itemised price for your date, city, model and hours. As a reference point, the closest fixed-fare car in our fleet, a Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series with chauffeur, costs Rs 96,000 Pay Now to Reserve for 8 hours and 80 km in Delhi and Rs 52,800 Pay Now to Reserve for an airport transfer, before 5% GST.
The reason there is no rate card is supply. There are relatively few of these cars in India, most belong to private owners or small specialist operators, and each one's availability changes with the season. A Rolls-Royce in Mumbai on a weekday afternoon in August is a very different request from a Phantom in Delhi on a December Saturday when half the city is getting married. Every quote we send spells out the same components, so you can see where the money goes: the model and its colour, a minimum block of hours, kilometres included, positioning if the car comes from another city, the chauffeur's overnight allowance (Rs 1,500 a night) if the booking runs past one day away from base, and pass-through costs such as tolls, parking and interstate permits at the exact amount paid.
The table shows the usual shape of each kind of booking and the published fare of the flagship-sedan alternative, which many clients price alongside the Rolls-Royce before deciding.
| Occasion | Usual booking shape | Rolls-Royce | S-Class or 7 Series, Delhi | S-Class or 7 Series, Mumbai |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VIP airport arrival | One transfer, up to 40 km, flight tracked | on request | Rs 52,800 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 58,080 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Evening gala or anniversary dinner | 4 hr / 40 km | on request | Rs 57,600 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 63,360 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Chief guest or board visit | 8 hr / 80 km | on request | Rs 96,000 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 1,05,600 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Film, ad or music-video shoot | 8 hr day plus agreed extra hours | on request | Rs 96,000 per day | Rs 1,05,600 per day |
| Intercity drive | Per kilometre, 250 km a day minimum on round trips | on request | Rs 330 per km | Rs 330 per km |
All rupee amounts exclude 5% GST. Mumbai local and airport fares carry a 10% city multiplier; per-km outstation rates are the same everywhere.

Ultra-luxury models: day, extra km, extra hour and airport
The ultra-luxury marques are always quoted individually, but the structure of the quote mirrors our fixed-fare classes: a day package, a charge for each kilometre and each hour beyond it, and a separate airport transfer. The table lists the ultra-luxury models we are most often asked for, alongside the fixed-fare cars that clients price against them. Because Delhi figures appear elsewhere on the site, the alternatives here are shown at Mumbai rates, which include the 10% city multiplier.
| Model | Day, 8 hr / 80 km | Each extra km | Each extra hour | Airport transfer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rolls-Royce Ghost | on request | on request | on request | on request |
| Rolls-Royce Phantom | on request | on request | on request | on request |
| Rolls-Royce Cullinan | on request | on request | on request | on request |
| Bentley Flying Spur or Bentayga | on request | on request | on request | on request |
| Mercedes-Maybach S-Class | on request | on request | on request | on request |
| Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series, Mumbai | Rs 1,05,600 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 330 | Rs 13,200 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 58,080 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Range Rover or Mercedes GLS, Mumbai | Rs 62,700 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 230 | Rs 7,840 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 34,500 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Toyota Vellfire, Mumbai | Rs 59,400 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 210 | Rs 7,430 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 32,670 Pay Now to Reserve |
Figures exclude 5% GST, tolls, parking and permits. Extra hours on the fixed-fare cars are one-eighth of the day package; extra kilometres are billed at the outstation per-km rate, which does not change with the city.
Occasions people rent a Rolls-Royce for
VIP and family arrivals at the airport
A Rolls-Royce waiting at the arrivals kerb is one of the most striking welcomes there is, for a returning parent, a visiting investor or a celebrity guest. The chauffeur tracks the flight, holds a name board, and waits 60 minutes without charge after an international landing or 30 minutes after a domestic one; after that, waiting is billed at the hourly rate. Airport rules on where a car may stand vary by terminal, so our Delhi airport taxi and Mumbai airport taxi pages explain the pickup points in detail.
Anniversaries, proposals and milestone birthdays
A 4-hour evening booking is the usual shape: pickup at home, a slow drive past a city landmark such as India Gate or Marine Drive, dinner, and the return. Tell us the occasion and the chauffeur will have the car ready at the door on time, the cabin at your preferred temperature, and your own music queued if you send it in advance.
Corporate launches, chief guests and board visits
For a product launch, an award night or a chairman's visit, a Rolls-Royce signals the weight of the day. These bookings are normally 8 hours, invoiced to the company with 5% GST. If you need a matched fleet for the delegation, we pair the Rolls-Royce with S-Class or Vellfire cars at fixed fares; see corporate car rental for account billing.
Film, advertising and music-video shoots
Production teams book Rolls-Royces as picture cars. The owner's conditions matter here: whether the car can be driven by anyone other than its chauffeur (usually not), how close rigs and lights may come, and whether interior shots are allowed. We establish these before the quote so there are no surprises on set. Shoot days are billed on the 8-hour package plus agreed extra hours.
Weddings
The most common reason of all has its own detailed guide: Rolls-Royce for wedding covers the baraat, the bride's arrival and the doli, and how flowers are fitted without marking the paint.

Rolls-Royce on rent in Delhi
Delhi NCR has one of the deeper pools of ultra-luxury cars in the country, spread across South Delhi, Gurgaon and the farmhouse belt. The typical Delhi booking starts at an Aerocity or Lutyens' Delhi hotel, IGI Terminal 3, or a Chanakyapuri embassy address. Traffic shapes everything: the Delhi to Gurgaon corridor is slow between roughly 8:30 and 11 in the morning and 5:30 to 9 at night, and winter fog can delay early flights and the cars meeting them. For a wedding-season date between November and February, request the car six to eight weeks ahead. More on the capital's luxury fleet is on the luxury car rental in Delhi page.
Rolls-Royce on rent in Mumbai
Mumbai bookings cluster around South Mumbai's heritage hotels, Bandra Kurla Complex, Juhu and the airport at Sahar. The sea link shortens many trips, but the city's narrow lanes and tight hotel porches reward a chauffeur who knows exactly where a long saloon can stop. Monsoon is the other Mumbai factor: from June to September, heavy rain can double journey times, so we build slack into any Rolls-Royce booking in those months and keep the car's umbrella to hand. See luxury car rental in Mumbai for the rest of the city fleet.

Other cities
Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai have smaller ultra-luxury pools, and cars are sometimes positioned between them. For Goa, Udaipur and Jaipur, where the demand is mostly weddings and resort events, a Rolls-Royce usually travels from a metro on a closed carrier, and that journey is itemised in the quote. Our city pages for Bangalore, Hyderabad and Goa list the luxury classes that are available locally at fixed fares, which is useful when you need supporting cars around the Rolls-Royce.
The car, the chauffeur and the paperwork
Every Rolls-Royce, Bentley or Maybach we arrange is within seven model years, an intentional exception to our four-model-year rule for other cars, since these marques are built for long service and maintained accordingly. The model year and colour are named in your quote. Chauffeurs assigned to these cars drive them regularly, wear formal uniform, open and close the rear coach doors for passengers, and do not leave the car unattended at events.
Commercial chauffeur-driven hire in India is regulated under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, which governs registration and permits for vehicles carrying paying passengers. For background on the marque itself, including the Goodwood factory and current models, the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars article is a good summary.
What sets each ultra-luxury car apart
Clients who have never booked one often ask what the differences are beyond the badge. In short:
- Rolls-Royce Ghost. The most versatile of the family and the easiest to find on a given date. A long, quiet saloon that suits an evening out as well as a formal arrival.
- Rolls-Royce Phantom. The flagship: longer, more upright and more formal. It is the car for a head of family, a chairman or a state-level guest, and it is the rarest to secure.
- Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The SUV, with a higher seat and more luggage room. It suits resort and farmhouse venues and passengers who find a low saloon awkward to enter.
- Bentley Flying Spur and Bentayga. A different flavour of British luxury: the Flying Spur is a sporting saloon, the Bentayga a large SUV. Some clients prefer the Bentley's more contemporary cabin.
- Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. A long-wheelbase S-Class with a rear cabin built around reclining seats. It is discreet from the outside and exceptionally comfortable inside, and often the practical choice when a Rolls-Royce is committed.
All of these fall under our seven-model-year limit for ultra-luxury cars, and the quote names the exact model year.
Positioning: when the car has to travel to you
Ultra-luxury cars live mostly in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. When a booking is elsewhere, the car has to be positioned, and there are two ways to do it. For shorter distances on good highways, the car is driven by its own chauffeur, usually the day before, so it arrives rested and clean; the positioning kilometres are itemised at cost. For longer distances or rough roads, it travels on a closed car carrier, which protects the paint and saves the car's mileage but needs more lead time. In both cases the positioning line appears separately on the quote, so you can compare it against simply choosing a locally available flagship sedan. As a planning guide, allow at least a week for a carrier-positioned car to be scheduled, loaded, moved and prepared, and longer in the wedding season when carriers are busy. A driven positioning on a good expressway can be arranged at shorter notice, but the chauffeur still needs a rest day before a formal booking, and the car is washed and detailed again on arrival because highway dust shows on dark paint. If the event is outdoors in a dusty or sandy location, such as a desert camp near Jodhpur or a beach venue in Goa, tell the desk early so the owner can agree to it. For a family flying into Delhi and then driving to Agra or Jaipur, it is often better to use the Rolls-Royce for the Delhi welcome and a Range Rover for the highway; see Range Rover on rent.
An anniversary evening in a Rolls-Royce: a sample plan
A 4-hour evening booking in Delhi might run like this:
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 6:45 pm | Car arrives at your home, washed; chauffeur checks the route and the restaurant's drop point |
| 7:00 pm | Pickup; a slow drive along Kartavya Path and past India Gate as the lights come on |
| 7:40 pm | Short stop for photographs at a quiet spot the chauffeur knows |
| 8:00 pm | Drop at the restaurant; car waits nearby with the cabin kept cool |
| 10:15 pm | Pickup at the restaurant door; an optional drive past Lutyens' Delhi |
| 10:45 pm | Home; booking closes inside the 4 hr / 40 km allowance |
The Delhi Tourism site is a good source for evening-friendly landmarks if you want to build your own route. In Mumbai the same plan works along Marine Drive and the Bandra-Worli sea link, with an allowance for weekend traffic around Worli and Bandra.
Rolls-Royce on rent in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai
The southern metros have smaller ultra-luxury pools than Delhi and Mumbai, but steady demand from technology companies, film production and weddings. In Bangalore, the typical booking is a Kempegowda airport arrival followed by a hotel stay on MG Road, UB City or in Whitefield. The airport run is long, often an hour or more, so a Rolls-Royce or Maybach welcome is as much about comfort as display; the local multiplier of 1.05 applies to the fixed-fare alternatives, making an S-Class airport transfer Rs 55,440 Pay Now to Reserve. In Hyderabad, bookings centre on HITEC City, Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills, and on the long drive in from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport; fixed-fare alternatives are at base rates there. Chennai requests are fewer and often need positioning from Bangalore, which the quote itemises. For fixed-fare luxury classes in these cities, see luxury car rental in Chennai and the Hyderabad and Bangalore pages linked above.
Comparing quotes for a two-day VIP visit
A realistic comparison helps a travel desk decide. Take a VIP landing in Delhi on an international flight in the evening, dinner the same night, and a full day of meetings the next day.
| Leg | Mercedes S-Class (fixed fare, Delhi) | Rolls-Royce Ghost (quoted) |
|---|---|---|
| International arrival, up to 40 km | Rs 52,800 Pay Now to Reserve | on request |
| Dinner the same evening, 4 hr / 40 km | Rs 57,600 Pay Now to Reserve | on request |
| Meetings next day, 8 hr / 80 km | Rs 96,000 Pay Now to Reserve | on request |
| Total before GST, tolls and parking | Rs 2,06,400 | shown line by line in the quote |
Many desks end up with a hybrid: the Rolls-Royce for the arrival and the dinner, when the guest is seen and photographed, and an S-Class for the working day, when the car mostly waits outside an office. The quote can be structured exactly that way, and the whole visit still appears on one GST invoice.
Filming and photographing a Rolls-Royce
Picture-car bookings need more planning than ordinary hire. Share the shot list with the desk before the quote, because it decides which cars' owners will agree. Static shots of the car, exteriors with talent standing beside it, and interiors with the doors open are routinely allowed. Tracking shots, where a camera car drives alongside, need a closed or quiet road and police permission where required, and the car is always driven by its own chauffeur. Rigging on the body is generally not allowed; suction mounts on glass may be, with the owner's consent. Lights close to the paint should be diffused, and smoke machines kept well away from the cabin. For night shoots, the chauffeur's working hours are planned with a rest window, and the production covers any hotel stay if the location is far from base.
Owner conditions and conduct in the car
Because most ultra-luxury cars belong to private owners or specialist operators, each comes with a few conditions, and we write them into the quote rather than surprising you on the day. Typical ones are no smoking, no loose confetti or glitter inside the cabin, drinks only in closed bottles, no pets without prior agreement, and no one other than the assigned chauffeur at the wheel. For shoots, the owner may set limits on rigging and interior shots. None of these are unusual, and agreeing them in advance is what keeps the booking smooth.
Rolls-Royce for NRI and international guests
A Rolls-Royce welcome at the airport is increasingly booked by families for a parent returning from abroad or by companies for a foreign delegation. The practical advice is to book the Rolls-Royce for the arrival and the first evening, then move the guests into a fixed-fare luxury SUV or Vellfire for the days that follow, which keeps the budget sensible. The NRI car hire in India page covers longer family visits, and for protocol-heavy convoys see black car and limo service in India. Everyday city movement in the capital or in Mumbai is covered on taxi service in Delhi and taxi service in Mumbai.
What to expect from a Rolls-Royce chauffeur
The chauffeurs who drive these cars usually drive nothing else, and it shows in small habits. They arrive at least fifteen minutes before the reporting time and wait beside the car rather than inside it. They wear a formal suit or uniform jacket, keep the cabin at the temperature you asked for, and clear the rear seat of anything that is not yours. Rear coach doors are opened and closed from outside, never slammed; on a Rolls-Royce these doors can often be closed at the touch of a button, and the chauffeur will show a first-time passenger how. On the road, the driving is deliberately unhurried: gentle take-offs, long braking distances and no sudden lane changes, because the whole point of the car is that its passengers feel nothing. When the passenger is at a meeting or a dinner, the chauffeur stays with the car and keeps it secure. He does not take personal calls in front of guests, does not photograph them, and does not discuss the booking with anyone. If the plan changes during the day, he calls the desk rather than improvising, so that a revised time or route is confirmed properly and the fare stays transparent.
A short checklist before you request the car
Rolls-Royce quotes come back faster and more accurately when the request is complete. Before you write to the desk, have these ready:
- Date and exact timings, including any gap in the middle of the day when the car could wait or return.
- Pickup and drop addresses, with the hotel porch, terminal or gate if you know it. Some heritage hotels and embassies ask for the registration number of arriving cars in advance, and we can share it once the car is confirmed.
- Number of passengers. Three adults in the rear is the comfortable maximum; if more people need to travel together, we will suggest a supporting car.
- Model or colour preferences, in order. "Ghost in white, otherwise any Rolls-Royce in a light colour" gives us room to find a car.
- The occasion, because it changes the brief: an airport welcome needs a name board and a flight number, a shoot needs the owner's filming conditions, an anniversary needs discretion.
- Billing details, including a GSTIN if a company is paying.
A worked example helps set expectations. Suppose a visiting director lands at Mumbai's international terminal in the evening, is driven to a Colaba hotel, and the next day needs a car for a full day of meetings in BKC. With a flagship S-Class, that is an airport transfer at Rs 58,080 plus an 8 hr/80 km day at Rs 1,05,600 Pay Now to Reserve, so Rs 1,63,680 Pay Now to Reserve before GST, tolls and parking. The Rolls-Royce quote for the same plan will show the equivalent lines, which makes the comparison easy.
When a Rolls-Royce is not the right car
We would rather tell you than take the booking. A Rolls-Royce seats three in comfort, so it is the wrong car for moving a family of five with luggage; a Range Rover or Vellfire does that better. It is also not ideal for long highway days on rough roads, for which a luxury SUV is more relaxed. And on the busiest wedding dates, if you need a guaranteed flagship car at a known price, a Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series is the dependable choice; see Mercedes on rent and the wider luxury car rental page for every class.
Booking, payment and changes
Send the date, city, pickup and drop points, timings and occasion through the contact page, or WhatsApp the desk. You will receive a written quote naming the car. Confirm and pay by card or UPI through the booker, and a 5% GST invoice is issued in your name or your company's. Should plans change, our cancellation policy is identical for every car we supply: cancelling with more than three days (72 hours) to go costs nothing; inside that window a tenth of the fare is retained, rising to half inside 48 hours and the full fare inside 24 hours or on a no-show.
