Mumbai weddings are staged against the sea: ballrooms facing the Arabian Sea at Juhu and Bandra, heritage porches in Colaba, rooftop lawns in Worli with the Sea Link lit up behind the mandap. Wedding car rental in Mumbai from RutzIndia.com puts the right car into each of those frames, from a Mercedes for the groom's arrival to a Rolls-Royce for the couple's exit, and quietly moves the families and guests between hotels, halls and the airport. Each car arrives with its own uniformed chauffeur, at a price agreed in writing before any payment.
Mumbai wedding car prices for 2026
Wedding car rental in Mumbai starts at Rs 24,750 Pay Now to Reserve: that is a Mercedes E-Class for a four-hour wedding slot covering 40 km, or Rs 41,250 Pay Now to Reserve for a full eight-hour, 80 km day. The S-Class runs Rs 63,360 Pay Now to Reserve and Rs 1,05,600 Pay Now to Reserve on the same two packages, and a Range Rover-class SUV Rs 37,620 Pay Now to Reserve for the shorter one. Rolls-Royce and vintage prices are individual. GST at 5% is extra.
Mumbai carries a 1.10 multiplier on local packages because traffic is slow, venues are spread across a long, narrow city and parking at hotels is expensive. The table shows the wedding fleet as couples usually book it.

A car for every moment of the wedding
The groom's arrival. In Mumbai the baraat is usually shorter than in the north because most weddings are in hotels, clubs or banquet halls rather than on open roads. The groom often arrives in a decorated E-Class or a Range Rover at the hotel gate, then joins the band and dhol for the last stretch up the driveway. A BMW for the wedding or a Range Rover on rent are the popular modern choices.
The bride's entry and the couple's exit. The S-Class, with its silent cabin and rear comfort, is the classic choice; the ultimate statement is a Rolls-Royce for the wedding. We keep Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach cars within seven model years, and every other car within four.
Parents and grandparents. A Vellfire on rent gives elders reclining seats and an easy step in, ideal on a long day that runs from haldi to reception.
Family and helpers. Innova Crysta cars in Mumbai at Rs 13,860 a day carry cousins, trousseau trunks, gifts and the photographer's kit.
Guests. Tempo Travellers in Mumbai at Rs 21,450 a day run loops between guest hotels and the venue.
Mumbai wedding cars by the hour: 3, 5 and 8-hour blocks
A Mumbai wedding rarely needs every car all day. The groom's car may be needed only for the arrival at the hotel, the couple's car for the ceremony and reception, the parents' car from haldi to night. So we price each car in three blocks. Three hours equals our 4 hr / 40 km package. Five hours adds one-eighth of the full-day fare and covers 50 km. Eight hours is the 8 hr / 80 km day. The decoration column describes what Mumbai couples usually choose for each car; flowers are quoted to your design, separately.
| Wedding car | 3-hour block | 5-hour block, 50 km | 8-hour day, 80 km | Typical Mumbai dressing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| E-Class Mercedes, Audi A6 or BMW 5 Series | Rs 24,750 Pay Now to Reserve | about Rs 29,910 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 41,250 Pay Now to Reserve | Pastel roses across the bonnet, tulle on the mirrors |
| S-Class Mercedes or BMW 7 Series | Rs 63,360 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 76,560 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 1,05,600 Pay Now to Reserve | White orchids and a satin sash |
| Range Rover, Mercedes GLS or BMW X7 | Rs 37,620 Pay Now to Reserve | about Rs 45,450 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 62,700 Pay Now to Reserve | Floral crest on the roof rails |
| Toyota Vellfire or Kia Carnival | Rs 35,640 Pay Now to Reserve | about Rs 43,080 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 59,400 Pay Now to Reserve | Small posies on the sliding doors |
| Toyota Fortuner or MG Gloster | Rs 14,850 Pay Now to Reserve | about Rs 17,940 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 24,750 Pay Now to Reserve | Marigold strings for the baraat side |
| Honda City or Toyota Camry | Rs 7,140 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 8,640 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 11,880 Pay Now to Reserve | Plain; family and priest runs |
| Innova Crysta or Hycross | Rs 8,310 Pay Now to Reserve | about Rs 10,050 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 13,860 Pay Now to Reserve | A ribbon on the doli-party car |
| Tempo Traveller, 12 to 26 seats | Rs 12,870 Pay Now to Reserve | about Rs 15,540 Pay Now to Reserve | Rs 21,450 Pay Now to Reserve | None; guest shuttle |
| Rolls-Royce, Bentley or Maybach | on request | on request | on request | Restrained white florals |
| Vintage tourer or classic saloon | on request | on request | on request | Period ribbon and a single bouquet |
Every figure is before 5% GST. Time or distance beyond the chosen block is charged at the car's hourly and per-km rates shown in the booker. Rolls-Royce and vintage prices depend on the exact car and date, so we quote them one by one rather than print a figure that might not hold. For details of individual models see Mercedes car on rent, Audi car on rent and Fortuner on rent.

Guest bundles for a Mumbai wedding
Moving guests is where the budget goes, and where planning saves most. Each bundle below is priced on the 8 hr / 80 km day for every vehicle; add another day per extra function.
| Bundle name | Suits | What is included | Day price before GST |
|---|---|---|---|
| Family core | up to 40 travelling guests | 2 Tempo Travellers, 2 Innova Crysta | Rs 70,620 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Whole wedding | up to 80 | 4 Tempo Travellers, 4 Innova Crysta | Rs 1,41,240 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Big celebration | up to 150 | 2 luxury coaches, 3 Tempo Travellers, 6 Innova Crysta | Rs 3,05,910 Pay Now to Reserve |
| Elders first | parents and grandparents | 2 Force Urbania, 2 Toyota Vellfire | Rs 1,78,200 Pay Now to Reserve |
Vans run loops, so the guest counts assume not everyone moves at once. When a reception runs past midnight, a 12-hour day costs one and a half times the day fare plus 40 km at the per-km rate: about Rs 35,310 Pay Now to Reserve for a Tempo Traveller and about Rs 23,070 Pay Now to Reserve for an Innova in Mumbai.
A Mumbai hotel wedding day, hour by hour
A common pattern for a December wedding at a Juhu sea-facing hotel with a BKC reception looks like this.
| Time | On the programme | Cars working |
|---|---|---|
| 9 am to 1 pm | Haldi at the family home in Khar; guests land at Sahar | Innovas on airport runs; parents' Vellfire |
| 2 pm | Florist dresses the couple's car at the hotel porch | Couple's car staged with the concierge |
| 4:30 pm | Groom's party leaves for the hotel gate | Groom's car, Fortuner and Innovas |
| 5:30 pm | Baraat in the hotel driveway, varmala on the lawn | Cars parked in reserved bays |
| 6:30 to 9 pm | Pheras at sunset by the sea, photographs | Couple's car on standby |
| 9:30 pm | Drive to BKC for the reception, about 25 minutes | Couple's car; Travellers carry guests |
| 10 pm to 1 am | Reception | Vellfire takes elders home early |
| 1 am | Couple leaves for the hotel suite | Couple's car; one Innova with gifts |
Because the couple's and parents' cars work well over eight hours on a day like this, most families book them on the 12-hour option.

Mumbai's wedding districts and how to plan the drives
Mumbai is long rather than wide, and the drive between two venues can take longer than the ceremony. Plan around these belts:
- Colaba, Nariman Point and Malabar Hill. Heritage hotels, the clubs, and the Turf Club lawns at Mahalaxmi. Hotel porches here are small and security decides who waits where, so we agree the car's holding spot with the concierge beforehand. Evening traffic on Marine Drive and Pedder Road is heavy between 6 and 9 pm.
- Worli and Lower Parel. Rooftop and ballroom venues, the NSCI Dome, and hotels facing the Sea Link. The Coastal Road connector to Marine Drive has made the south of the city much quicker to reach.
- Bandra and BKC. Sea-facing hotels at Bandstand and Land's End, the convention venues of the Bandra-Kurla Complex, and churches such as Mount Mary for Catholic weddings. BKC is quiet on weekends and ideal for large receptions.
- Juhu, Vile Parle and Andheri. Beachfront hotels close to the airport, very convenient for out-of-town guests, and banquet halls along the SV Road and Link Road.
- Powai, Goregaon and the eastern suburbs. The lakeside hotels at Powai, exhibition-sized halls in Goregaon, and the wedding halls of Dadar, Matunga and Thane where many Maharashtrian and Gujarati weddings are held with morning muhurtams.
- Navi Mumbai. Large lawns in Vashi, Kharghar and Panvel, quicker to reach via Atal Setu.
Share the venue address and the event manager's contact a few days before; the chauffeur will call on the way.
Hotel driveways, noise rules and timing
Most Mumbai baraats happen in a hotel driveway or a building compound rather than on the street, and the hotel will set the rules: how far the procession can go, where the band stands and when it stops. Outdoors, amplified music has to end by 10 pm under the noise rules, and venues near residential towers are strict about it. Plan the groom's arrival for early evening, fix the time with the venue, and let the chauffeur know whether the car should wait at the gate for photographs or go straight to its parking bay.
A Mumbai wedding day always needs traffic slack. Allow at least 90 minutes between South Mumbai and Juhu in the evening, more on Fridays and during festival weeks. For Christian weddings with a church ceremony followed by a hotel reception, book the couple's car on the 8-hour package so the same chauffeur covers both.
Parsi, Gujarati, Maharashtrian and Christian weddings
Mumbai's communities each bring their own rhythm to the wedding day, and the car plan follows it. Parsi weddings are often held in the evening at a baug or agiary hall, with the couple arriving together and guests expecting punctual starts. Gujarati and Marwari weddings may run several functions in one hotel, so a single car for the couple with a chauffeur on standby all day is common. Maharashtrian weddings begin with an early-morning muhurtam at a wedding hall in Dadar, Thane or the suburbs, which means pickups before dawn and a second duty for the evening reception. Catholic weddings in Bandra or South Mumbai pair a church service with a hotel reception across town. Tell the desk which tradition you are following, and the timings, and the duty sheets will be written around it.
Photoshoots at Marine Drive and Bandstand
Pre-wedding shoots with a vintage convertible or a Rolls-Royce along Marine Drive, the Bandra promenade or the old lanes of Kala Ghoda are a Mumbai favourite. Early mornings, before 8 am, give empty roads and soft light. Some locations require permission for professional crews and drones, so check with your photographer; the car arrives polished and the chauffeur repositions it between frames. See our vintage car for wedding page for the classic models we arrange.
Destination weddings near Mumbai
Alibaug, Lonavala, Karjat and the resorts on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway host many Mumbai weddings. Outside the city, cars are billed by distance on a minimum of 250 km per day: an E-Class costs 250 x Rs 170 = Rs 41,250 a day, an Innova 250 x Rs 57.6 = Rs 14,250 Pay Now to Reserve, and a Tempo Traveller 250 x Rs 78 = Rs 19,500 Pay Now to Reserve, plus tolls and a night allowance of Rs 1,500 per chauffeur per night. For guest arrivals at the airport before the drive out, see our Mumbai airport taxi, and the state's tourism portal has useful background on the coastal and hill venues.
Choosing the right car for each person
Groom: an E-Class or Range Rover is formal and photographs well in a hotel porch; a BMW adds a sportier look.
Bride: the S-Class, for its silent rear cabin and space for a heavy lehenga or gown; a Rolls-Royce if the date allows.
Parents and grandparents: a Vellfire, with reclining captain chairs and a sliding door that makes getting in easy in formal clothes.
Photographs: a vintage tourer for an hour at the venue or on Marine Drive at dawn.
Everyone else: Innovas and Travellers, keeping the luxury cars free for the couple. Single guests arriving for the wedding can use the Mumbai taxi service, and families staying on for a week can hire an Innova through car rental with driver in Mumbai.
Parking, porches and civic rules
Hotel porches in Mumbai are small and busy on wedding nights; we agree with the concierge where the couple's car waits. Banquet halls in the suburbs often have limited basement parking, so guest vans drop and circulate rather than park. Outdoor amplified music must stop by 10 pm, and processions on public roads need permission from the authorities, which is why most Mumbai baraats stay inside hotel compounds. Civic notices on road works and closures are posted by the municipal corporation at MCGM; our desk checks them for the wedding week.
Seasons, festivals and when to book
Mumbai's wedding season runs from November to February, with December weekends the busiest; a smaller wave follows in April and May. The monsoon months see fewer weddings, but those that happen need extra time for waterlogged roads and a covered drop point at the venue. Diwali and the New Year week tighten car availability across the city. Reserve the Rolls-Royce, vintage or S-Class the week the muhurat is confirmed; the Innovas and Travellers can wait a few weeks. The Mumbai City district site carries public notices for large events and road works.
