Mercedes-Benz India is headquartered at Chakan on the city's outskirts, its IT corridors host global delegations every week, and its wedding lawns fill every winter. Yet finding a genuinely well-run luxury car rental in Pune, with a proper chauffeur rather than a driver in borrowed shoes, is harder than it should be. The grid below reads left to right from the longest local package to the shortest. It is the rate card we plan with; the booker applies it to your exact pickup and drop addresses.

GST at 5% is charged in addition. Expressway tolls, parking at hotels, malls and venues, and any interstate permit are recovered at the exact amount spent, never with a margin. An airport pickup or drop includes 40 km; if your hotel sits further out, in Hinjewadi Phase 3 for instance, the extra distance is billed per kilometre.

Pune rate card by model, with 12-hour days

Figures current for September 2026. Pune clients often mix meetings in Hinjewadi with a plant visit in Chakan and dinner in Koregaon Park, which makes long days common. So alongside the standard day, this table shows a 12-hour day and the exact cost of an extra hour or kilometre for every model we place in Pune.

We price the 12 hr / 120 km day as the 8-hour fare times one and a half, plus 40 km at the model's per-km rate. Pune examples, before 5% GST:

Where Pune books luxury cars

Hinjewadi, Baner and Balewadi. Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park at Hinjewadi is one of the country's largest IT clusters, and senior visitors often stay in the business hotels nearby. The main road into the park is notoriously slow at shift-change times, roughly 8 to 10:30 in the morning and 5:30 to 8 in the evening, so our chauffeurs route through Baner or Wakad depending on the hour.

Kharadi, Viman Nagar and Yerwada. The eastern side of the city is close to the airport and home to large IT parks and several luxury hotels. It is the most convenient base for short business trips.

Koregaon Park and Camp. Leafy lanes, restaurants and boutique hotels; a popular base for leisure visitors and for NRI families returning for a family event.

Chakan, Talegaon and Ranjangaon. The automotive and manufacturing belt north and east of the city. Delegations visiting plants usually book a full-day saloon or a Vellfire so that three or four people can travel together and talk on the way.

The wedding lawns. Pune's wedding venues are often open-air lawns and banquet halls on the city's edges, from Mundhwa to Wagholi to the Katraj side. Approach roads can be narrow and dusty, which influences car choice.

Choosing between the classes

We only send cars that are four model years old or newer. Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach are the exception and can be up to seven model years old.

Is luxury car rental in Pune worth it?

For getting around town, a sedan from our taxi service in Pune is cheaper and perfectly comfortable. The luxury premium makes sense for four kinds of Pune trip: a senior visitor whose first impression of your company begins at the airport kerb; a long plant or campus day where the car is an office between stops; a wedding moment that will be photographed for decades; and a hill drive with elderly parents, where ride quality and space matter. Plant and campus visits: how we run them

Many Pune luxury bookings end at a factory gate rather than a hotel porch. Visits to plants in Chakan, Talegaon, Ranjangaon and Pimpri-Chinchwad follow a pattern, and a little preparation saves a lot of waiting at security.

1. Visitor passes. Send the host company's name and the visitor list when booking. Many plants register the vehicle number and chauffeur in advance; we share both as soon as the car is assigned.
2. Safety rules. Some plants do not allow private cars beyond the visitor parking. The chauffeur drops at the gate, waits in the designated area and is back at the gate when you are.
3. Timing. The Pune-Nashik highway towards Chakan and the old Mumbai highway towards Talegaon slow down at shift changes, so we time departures to avoid them where the schedule allows.
4. The right car. For one or two senior visitors, an E-Class or 5 Series; for a team of three or four who want to discuss the visit on the way back, a Vellfire.
5. Paperwork. The visit appears on one GST invoice with the host company's name if you are travelling on their account.

Weekend villas, resorts and the ghats

Pune families and visitors often spend weekends at villas and resorts in Lonavala, Khandala, Kamshet, Mulshi and Panchgani, and a luxury car with a chauffeur turns the drive into part of the break. For these trips:

• Choose the SUV in the monsoon. From June to September the ghat roads are wet, foggy and busy with weekend traffic at viewpoints; the higher driving position and ground clearance of a Range Rover or GLS help.
• Plan the overnight stay. If the car stays with you, the chauffeur's night allowance of Rs 1,500 applies, and many villas have staff quarters or nearby lodging where the chauffeur can rest.
• Book the return in advance. Sunday evening traffic back into Pune on the expressway and the old highway can be heavy; leaving by mid-afternoon usually avoids the worst of it.
• Pack for the weather. Viewpoints at Tiger Point or Rajmachi can be cold and misty even when Pune is warm; the chauffeur keeps umbrellas in the boot, but a light jacket for each passenger is worth bringing along.

Pune airport arrivals

• There is no charge for the first 60 minutes after an international landing or the first 30 minutes after a domestic one. Beyond that, waiting time is billed hourly as shown in the booker.

The Mumbai-Pune Expressway and weekend escapes

Pune's position at the top of the Sahyadri ghats makes it a superb base for short drives, and the expressway to Mumbai, run by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, is one of the country's busiest intercity roads. Outstation trips are charged per kilometre, but round trips are billed on at least 250 km for each calendar day. If the chauffeur stays overnight, a night allowance of Rs 1,500 is added.

Worked examples, before GST and tolls:

• Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani day trip. About 120 km each way, so the return is roughly 240 km. Because the daily minimum is 250 km, the bill is calculated on 250 km: about Rs 41,250 Pay Now to Reserve in an E-Class or Rs 56,250 Pay Now to Reserve in a luxury SUV. For the climb through the ghats, the SUV is the more comfortable choice.
• Lonavala and Khandala. Short enough for an 8 hour / 80 km local package in some cases, depending on your pickup point; the booker will tell you if the trip needs outstation billing instead.

In the monsoon, from June to September, the ghats are at their most beautiful and their most treacherous: fog, landslips and weekend traffic at viewpoints. Our chauffeurs slow down, and so should the itinerary.

Weddings and celebrations in Pune

The Pune wedding season runs through the cooler months, from about November to February, with further dates around Gudi Padwa in spring. Lawns, banquet halls and resorts near Lonavala and Kamshet host most functions. A sensible car plan usually includes:

1. An S-Class, Rolls-Royce or vintage car for the couple, often booked for 4 hours around the ceremony.
2. A Vellfire for the bride's preparations and travel between functions.
3. Two or three E-Class saloons for immediate family.

Festivals and the Pune calendar

Ganeshotsav is Pune's defining festival. For ten days in August or September, pandals fill the old city around Dagdusheth and Laxmi Road, and the immersion processions on the final day close large parts of central Pune for many hours. If you need a luxury car on those days, share the exact route and expect detours. The chauffeur standard behind every Pune booking

These are not aspirations; they are the conditions a chauffeur must meet before taking a luxury duty in Pune:

1. Verification: police verification, identity and address documents and a commercial driving licence held on file.
2. Appearance: dark uniform or formal suit, tidy grooming and clean shoes; wedding families may request a particular dress code.

The four-year rule for Pune cars

The car should be as current as the service. Every Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Range Rover, Vellfire and Fortuner we send in Pune is within four model years of age. Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach may be up to seven model years old, because their owners keep them longer and they rarely enter hire fleets new. Each luxury duty is assigned to a uniformed, police-verified chauffeur who speaks Marathi, Hindi and English, knows the city's hotel porches and IT-park gates, and is briefed on your plan beforehand. Booking and cancellation

1. On the booking page, choose your car class and package and enter the pickup time.
2. Pay by card or UPI and receive confirmation. If the travel is on company account, ask for a GST invoice with your GSTIN, or set up monthly billing through corporate car rental.
3. For weddings, plant visits or multi-car movements, WhatsApp the desk and we will put the plan in writing.

If you cancel more than 72 hours before pickup, there is no charge. Within 72 hours we retain 10% of the fare; within 48 hours, 50%; within 24 hours or on a no-show, 100%. The cancellation policy has the details.
