How do you get to Noida and Greater Noida by road, and what does a cab cost?
Noida Sector 18 is about 40 km from IGI Airport and 20 to 25 km from central Delhi, typically 60 to 90 minutes by car over the DND Flyway or Kalindi Kunj. A chauffeur-driven sedan transfer costs Rs 3,960 Pay Now to Reserve and an Innova Crysta Rs 6,930 Pay Now to Reserve, before 5% GST, with tolls and parking at actual cost.
Noida is the part of the National Capital Region that most visitors meet by accident. You fly into Delhi for a trade fair at the India Expo Centre, a client meeting in Sector 62, a wedding at a farmhouse off the expressway or a family visit in a Greater Noida West high-rise, and suddenly the question is how to cross the Yamuna without losing half a day. The answer is almost always a car with a driver. Public transport is good in parts, but it rarely drops you at the door of a banquet hall or a tower block with luggage in hand, and app cabs thin out exactly when you need them: at 6 pm on a weekday or on a wedding night in December.
RutzIndia.com runs airport transfers, full-day hires and road trips out of Noida and Greater Noida with chauffeurs who know the sector numbering, which gate of a society actually opens after 10 pm and when the DND is quicker than Kalindi Kunj. This guide explains the roads, the fares, the few sights worth your time and how to plan a day or two here, whether you are on business or visiting family. If you already know what you need, you can book online in a couple of minutes.

Why people come to Noida and Greater Noida
Noida (the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority area) and its larger planned neighbour, Greater Noida, together form the Uttar Pradesh district of Gautam Buddh Nagar. The district administration website is the official source for local notices. What draws travellers is a mix of work, events and a handful of genuinely pleasant places.
- Business districts. Sector 62, Sector 16A Film City, the Noida Expressway corridor from Sector 125 to 144, and Knowledge Park in Greater Noida host IT campuses, media houses and back offices. Many of our Noida bookings are for consultants and auditors moving between these clusters in a day.
- Trade shows. The India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida hosts large international fairs through the year, and hotel rooms nearby fill up fast. A car on an 8-hour hire lets you stay in Noida or South Delhi and still reach the halls before the doors open.
- Shopping and food. Sector 18 is the busy commercial heart with the Atta market, big malls and restaurants that stay lively late into the evening.
- Green pockets. The Noida Botanic Garden in Sector 38A is a calm, well-labelled garden that few visitors know about, and the Okhla Bird Sanctuary on the Yamuna, right by the DND, is a real wintering ground for ducks, waders and raptors.
- Motorsport and sport. The Buddh International Circuit near the Yamuna Expressway hosted Formula One races from 2011 to 2013 and still holds major racing and track-day events.
- Temples and culture. The ISKCON temple in Sector 33 is a popular evening stop, especially around Janmashtami.
Greater Noida is wider, greener and more spread out than Noida. The Surajpur wetland on its western edge is a birding site worth an early-morning visit between November and March, when migratory species arrive.
The drive: routes into Noida from Delhi and the airport
There are four sensible ways in, and your chauffeur will pick one based on the hour.
From IGI Airport (about 40 km). The standard route runs along NH48 towards Dhaula Kuan, then the Ring Road or the Barapullah elevated road to the DND Flyway, which drops you into Sector 15A and Sector 18. Off-peak this takes under an hour; at 9 am or 7 pm on a weekday, allow 90 minutes or more. Our Delhi airport taxi page explains the terminal pickup points.
From South Delhi. Kalindi Kunj and the Mahamaya flyover connect Sarita Vihar and Jasola to Noida's southern sectors and the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. When the DND is backed up, this is often faster for Sector 44, 50 or anything on the expressway.
From East Delhi. The Chilla regulator road and the NH9 approach feed into Sectors 14A and 15, and into Sector 62 via the Noida link road.
Into Greater Noida. The Noida-Greater Noida Expressway runs about 25 km from Sector 18 area to Pari Chowk, typically 30 to 40 minutes. From Pari Chowk the Yamuna Expressway begins, a toll road that the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority oversees and that carries you south towards Jewar, Mathura and Agra.
Traffic follows the office clock. Southbound traffic into Noida peaks from about 8:30 to 11 am and the reverse from 6 to 9 pm. Friday and Saturday evenings add mall traffic around Sector 18 and the Great India Place area. During the wedding season, roughly November to February, the expressway service lanes near the banquet halls slow down after dark on auspicious dates. The Delhi Metro Blue, Magenta and Aqua lines all serve Noida; the Delhi Metro website has maps if you want to combine metro and car.

Noida International Airport and the Yamuna Expressway
The new Noida International Airport at Jewar sits beside the Yamuna Expressway, about 70 km from Sector 18. Check the official airport website for current airline operations, and always confirm which airport your ticket uses before you book a transfer. If your flight is from Jewar, we plan the pickup like any other airport run: flight tracking, a name board and generous waiting time.
The expressway also turns Noida into an efficient launch point for the Braj and Agra circuit. From Pari Chowk, Mathura is roughly two hours and Agra about two and a half hours in normal conditions. That makes a same-day Agra tour by car entirely comfortable from a Noida hotel, and many families pair it with Krishna's towns: read our Vrindavan by road and Mathura by road guides for timings at the temples.
Best time to visit, festivals and air quality
Noida's climate is the NCR climate: hot, dry summers that reach the mid-40s in May and June, a humid monsoon from July to September when some underpasses flood after heavy rain, and a cool, often foggy winter. The most comfortable months are October, February and March. November can be beautiful for weddings and festivals but is also when smog is worst.
When air quality turns severe, the Commission for Air Quality Management notifies restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan, which can bar older petrol and diesel vehicles across the NCR. Every car RutzIndia.com sends is within four model years, so our fleet meets current emission norms, but construction curbs and school closures can change traffic patterns, and dense fog in late December and January slows the expressway at night. Your driver will add buffer time to airport runs in those weeks.
Festival notes: Diwali week brings heavy shopping traffic in Sector 18; Chhath Puja in late October or November draws large gatherings at the Yamuna ghats and ponds; Janmashtami fills the ISKCON temple; and the big trade fairs at the Expo Centre can make Knowledge Park roads slow at opening and closing times.

Chauffeured services and fares for Noida and Greater Noida
RutzIndia.com prices everything from the published rate card on the fares page. Local hire in Noida uses the Noida city rate, which is slightly below Delhi's; transfers from Delhi or IGI use the Delhi airport-transfer fare because the distance is under 40 km.
- Airport transfers between IGI (T1, T2 or T3) and any Noida or Greater Noida address. We track your flight, meet you with a name board and wait 60 minutes free after an international arrival or 30 minutes after a domestic one; longer waits are billed at the hourly rate.
- 8 hr / 80 km and 12 hour local hire for meetings across sectors, trade fair days and family visits.
- Corporate accounts with GST invoices and monthly billing; see corporate car rental, and for shift cabs, employee transport services.
- Weddings in Noida and Greater Noida banquet halls: decorated sedans and luxury cars from our Delhi wedding car rental desk.
- Groups in a 12 to 17 seat Tempo Traveller; our Tempo Traveller in Noida page lists seat layouts.

Fares are before 5% GST. Tolls (the Yamuna Expressway is tolled; the DND Flyway and the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway currently are not), parking and any state permit charges are added at actual cost. Outstation round trips are billed on at least 250 km per calendar day, with a driver night allowance of Rs 1,500 per night if you keep the car overnight. You can pay by card or UPI through the booker.
If your plans shift, our cancellation policy is simple: cancel more than 72 hours ahead and you pay nothing; within 72 hours the charge is 10% of the fare, within 48 hours 50%, and within 24 hours or for a no-show the full fare applies.
A two-day plan for Noida and Greater Noida by car
Day 1: Noida (about 50 km of local running). Land at IGI in the morning and head straight to your hotel via the DND. After lunch, spend an hour in the Noida Botanic Garden, then drive the short hop to the ISKCON temple in Sector 33 for the evening aarti. Dinner in Sector 18, where your driver drops you at the market gate and waits in the multi-level parking rather than circling.
Day 2: Greater Noida (about 80 km). Leave by 6:30 am in winter for Surajpur wetland, when the light is soft and the birds are active. Breakfast on the way back, then a trade fair or meetings in Knowledge Park. If there is a race weekend or track event at the Buddh circuit, your driver will know the approach roads and the drop-off points. Return to IGI for an evening flight, or stay on for day three.
Optional day 3: Yamuna Expressway to Agra (about 400 km return). Leave before 6 am, see the Taj at sunrise and Agra Fort, and be back in Noida for dinner. Our Agra by road guide covers entry timings, and the Delhi to Agra taxi page explains fares if you start in the capital instead.
Practical tips for Noida and Greater Noida
- Addresses: give the sector number, block and tower. Many societies in Greater Noida West look identical from the road, and guards often ask for the resident's name before allowing a cab in.
- Society gates: some gated complexes close secondary gates at night. Tell us the gate you prefer so the driver does not wait at the wrong side.
- Parking: malls and Sector 18 charge for parking; this is added at cost. At the Expo Centre, drop-off lanes are marshalled on show days, so fix a pickup point by phone or WhatsApp with the driver.
- Okhla Bird Sanctuary: there is a small entry fee and camera charge collected at the gate; carry cash and binoculars, and go between November and February for the migratory birds.
- Fog and smog: in December and January, keep morning flight transfers early and let the driver decide the speed. On severe-AQI days, carry masks and keep windows up.
- Onward travel: if you are heading to Gurgaon for another meeting, read Gurgaon by road; the cross-NCR run takes 60 to 90 minutes.
For everyday rides inside the city, our main taxi service in Noida page has the full local rate card, and the Delhi taxi service page covers pickups anywhere in the capital.
